BII/SGN Clarification -- Open Letter (Merged)

I just have to say thanks Clarity for creating such a wonderful place to talk Ohio State and everything else. While BII has promise I do hope what we see now is just a first step to something greater. I did get worried when I saw its new inception looking exactly like the BP I have come to love. I do hope they slim down their board choices to make it more unique to their eventual vision of their site. Reading what Clarity wrote and then reading the rest of this thread and a smaller thread over at BII/SGN it has calmed me down.

I will have to say this though. If I see an Al Gore Invented.... thread start over there then I say it is war!

Dont really have an opinion on this whole fiasco. All I'm really sure of is that i'm gonna stay here at BP. I really wish that this would have occured after DiHard got banned, so that Nutty and BSkin could still be here. Good luck to everyone over at BII.

page six and still reasonable... we're improving from the BN times...

Seriously... after reading the original post, I believe the point of the thread is that the two are separate entities, there isn't an affiliation between the two (no merger or anything like that), and that there are still friendships of folks on both boards... lets not turn this into a pissing match...

I'll get off my soapbox now :wink2:

Buckeyeplanet's message is strong, and Clarity is and always will be the man behind the great vision. Websites will come and go, and so will people. I feel that we have a strong nucleus here and that being said, I'm a Buckeyeplanet guy.

This has almost become a "Sound Off" thread :)

Good to see the support though.

Not to toot my own horn or anything............actually I cant, cause I have never done anything good, but I just always wanted to say toot my horn in a sentence.

Also what's up with the top of the page at SGN saying a subscription is "$49.95 (Usually it's $77.)" How can it usually be $77 if the site has only been open 4 days?

When have they ever charged $77?
I was thinking the same thing.

Hopefully, this is just an isolated incident. (by that, I mean that Thump and I are actually thinking the same thing)

Honestly, I don't even go to BP primarily for football anymore-at least in the spring/summer. Of course I check the football and recruiting threads, but the reason I am here every day is BS on the politcal board and the open board, w/ people who are sort of my friends, in an internet way. I still go to B-nuts because of their football info, but I don't get the same community vibe there that I do here. There is absolutely no need for a pay BP-unlike at B-nuts, where it is not worth it for the free idiot room.

That's really a matter of opinion. I liked all the drama from the old days. That was my favorite part.
