Game Thread BCS Championship Game, tOSU vs. Florida - Jan 8th

Bingo. I often look for psychological turning points in the game, and I think this was a big one. After Ginn's kickoff return for TD to start the game, if we could've held UF to no points on their drive, I think we could've won the game b/c they would have been demoralized. However, when they drove down the field and scored (we admittedly helped them a little by giving them the ball on our side of the field), I think that was huge, as they took a punch but immediately came back fighting.
Definitely, florida coming right back to tie it up maybe changed the entire game.

I must admit, it's my fault!!! I jinxed the team when i had my HDTV replaced with a new much lighter one! That tv i bought after we lost to SC back in 2002. I knew i shouldve told HH GREGG to replace AFTER tonight's game!

We love you Buckeyes no matter what!!!!

run along Iowa fan....

No we are not - we are just people who have nothing better to do than root for a team that we could never have actually played for. Games are all about the players, not the fans - whatever we feel, they feel it 1000 times more right now. Let's not feel too sorry for our poor selves....

I definitely agree with this when talking about fans of professional teams. However, when it is one's alma mater on the field and one is supporting the team who is representing one's alma mater....well I can see the angle that PrincetonBuck is coming from. (No matter the level (pro or college) the players do feel it 1000 times more.)

True. My fantasy was the Bucks win tonight, Tress goes to the Browns for major cash and Romeo goes DC in Denver.

Oh, well...

Yea those are some fantasy's, at least one couldve been realistically achieved tonight and that's us winning. Tress is an NFL coach but I think he enjoy's the college game too much to leave

could be it....

I'm not an English major, so I couldn't really tell ya.

In a day, I'll be fine. What I feel is trivial really.

But for some of these guys on the field tonight, this is it. I feel for them.

Sounds like empathy. I think the saddest part for me was just that they never rebounded at all.
Still, this team has given us a lot and I wish them all the best of luck whether they come back, go to the NFL, or go on to do other things.

Yeah I'll follow them as best I can, like I have done with every guy I can remember from each year.

I'm a morbid drunk, what can I saw.... :tongue2:

We can search for meaning in this shocking game all we want, but I just don't think we'll ever be able to reconcile it with our experience from the rest of the year. Sometimes this happens, even to the best of teams, and there is a million reasons why. All those reasons converged tonight.

Thank you to this team for providing some of the best months of my life as a fan. Thank you to the seniors, to Tressel, and to the rest of the team. You weren't perfect, but I never expected you to be. You made me proud to be a Buckeye this year, and no way is this game going to change that.
