Atlantic Coast Conference (Official Thread)

Great football schools all. And some always field good basketball teams. However, some/most do not reach the bar academically, nor in the research department that sets the B10 apart. Additional dagger would be the SMSA (statistical Marketing Sample Area) aspect of these teams/cities. Am certain that all fan bases are fervent, but they are limited in scope (fan base size). Maybe between Northwestern and MSU in size. Therefore, believe there would be dilution in the money paid by the networks to put forth the B10 on television. Believe the same if Oregon and UW join the B10. Can't imagine that the funds for TV rights would/could extend at the same level to add such mediocre markets. Does the B10 expand until the law of diminishing returns sets in? That's the money aspect. Certainly several (not to name names) don't come close providing the academic rigor associated with the B10. Am starting to repeat myself, so will end this diatribe now. Go Bucks! B10, don't let just numbers ($) be the only guide to expansion.

That is sure to bring in 13 eyeballs from Pitt alumni and at least 47 people from the same bar in Clifton.

You can forget the Clifton hot spot if the Reds are still in the pennant chase.
