(6) THE Ohio State vs. (11) Dayton, Thurs 3/20, 12:15p ET, CBS

Just looked at the box score ... Amir 0 points??? Tough to win when you get nothing from the center position.

It wasn't just Amir:

- Lenzelle scored in single digits again (fifth game in a row in which he did so)
- Ross was 5-12 from the field
- Scott was 1-6 from the field

Quite frankly, OSU is lucky Craft and Thompson showed up in a big way on the offensive end (and that Dayton shot an uncharacteristic 3-13 from 3-point land).

Even worse to me was ONE offensive rebound. We don't run a lot of plays for him but for crying out loud be aggressive and hit the boards. He's certainly got the size and he doesn't play outside the arc. To only get one rebound is timid play, supported by also only having committed one foul - soft as hell today.

I saw him up by the free throw line too often. It's almost like when he sets his screen, he just stays there and watches... Really disappointed with the center play this season in general though.

Oh well, I didn't expect to win this tourney and it's just begun so I'm going to go watch the rest of it. I don't need 6 months to debate how the Buckeyes are going to improve the defense on the football team. That can wait, for now.

Yes, but at least LSJ will drive to the basket and usually draw a foul in the process. Amir didn't even get to the foul line .....

Other than Sully, Ohio state hasn't had a multi-year contributor at Center since Dials. 10 years ago. They were either one and dones like Oden (phenom at the time) or inconsistent but talented one and dones who really needed to stay another year or two in Mullens and Koufos.
