(6) THE Ohio State vs. (11) Dayton, Thurs 3/20, 12:15p ET, CBS

At this point we are who we are. Amir will not be a suddenly changed man with mean streak, Scott, Q, and Thompson will continue to be streaky with flashes but not consistent. At this point you just hope for the last route to come true and a true freshman or loving step up and make a move.

If craft can't become a consistent scorer in 4 years Thompson, Ross, and Scott surely won't either. I'm not overly optimistic for next year unless someone can become a presence down low.

I disagree with this wholeheartedly--players can and do improve in the off-season. If that weren't the case, Caris Lavert wouldn't have gone from turnover machine without a jumpshot to second team all-Big Ten in the offseason.

I think what bukIpower is saying is that Amir's problem is more mental and less physical. In terms of skill Amir's improved a lot since last year in my opinion. It's effort and a mean streak Amir lacks. Not sure how you really fix that.

We lost because:
1) too many posters without donor banners
2) the fix was in.. by Warren Buffet.. 99% of all brackets had OSU moving on

Going to really miss Aaron Craft
Loving will be a mega star
Would love to have a 6'8 315lb OT to play backup to the #5 spot

I rarely see anyone on this team except Craft playing like they have much going on in between the ears, which is disappointing because these guys are not dumb. Just seemed like the whole team regressed this year.

I agree on Amir. But if you re-read his post, you'll see that he also suggests Scott, Q and Thompson can't change. I disagree with that.

Good for caris lavert everyone is different. I'm not saying it's not possible but if a player hasn't taken the next step as a sophomore or junior then is it really likely that it's going to magically happen as a junior or senior? I became a realist once I predicted for Lydell Ross to run for 1600 yards as a senior only to see him be the same player we all knew him to be as a freshman-junior player.

Again is it possible? Sure. However Is it probable that we will have the same pitfalls next year? You bet.

Guilty, but if anyone can tell me where my wallet is (with any degree of specificity), I will gladly donate the amount of any folding money it contains. It has been MIA since I went to my buddy's St. Patty's boozefest. I didn't go anywhere else and I didn't leave it there. And, no, it is not up my ass(I checked). Will be performing a full grid search of the homestead tonight. Wish me luck, my wife is a bit of a hoarder.
