(6) THE Ohio State vs. (11) Dayton, Thurs 3/20, 12:15p ET, CBS

Some things were typical for this year - 25% from three, 67% from the FT line, held the opponent below their average point total. Unfortunately, our centers were invisible, we had no offensive rebounding, and a couple of brutal mental errors in the final minutes sealed our fate.

I'm betting UD fans will be happy about this for awhile, even if they lose to the Cuse by 50.

They can be happy, as long as they don't flip over cars.

I agree on Amir. But if you re-read his post, you'll see that he also suggests Scott, Q and Thompson can't change. I disagree with that.
Not that they can't change but it is unlikely they will turn into a real CONSISTENT force. I just personally feel they will each still have their moments but will also still have a lot of the frustrating traits we have now seen for 2-3 years.

Didn't get much done this morning, as streamed the game into office. Nice. However, the dream didn't play out, as we all know. Good news is Buckeyes didn't fall behind by 18, but bad news is couldn't pull off a stop with 10 seconds to go. Sorry for Aaron and Lenzelle to go out that way, and maybe Q as well. Give Dayton some credit, they played very hard all the game, and pretty much left it on the floor (as did the Dayton fans in the stands). Really seems like the same story all season. Shots not falling, and not a lot of O rebounds for follow-up. Thought there were some pretty cheesey fouls called on tOSU, maybe better check the ref's diplomas. Will be getting my '14 banner this week end.....Go Bucks...

If anyone is looking to support some Buckeyes in the post-season after the loss today, the NCAA Wrestling tournament started today too. We have two guys that will likely be contending for a title and some other fun ones to watch. I'll be doing updates in the Wrestling thread. I'll keep watching March Madness, but I always gotta have some Buckeyes to support.

Fitting end to a forgettable season.

This team's issues are not of the talent variety, they are mental. I'm not sure how one coaches up willpower and self motivation... It seems like they needed to get down 18 to ever wake up and start playing. Sparty and Nebraska stand out in my mind. Kinda makes me wonder how things would have turned out if they'd played the entire season with the same sense of urgency as those two games...

Ohio State Tennis Looks to Make History
timthumb.php

In Columbus, under the radar, something remarkable has been developing over the past eleven years. The #1 (now currently #2 after 2 road losses) ranked Ohio State men’s tennis team is carrying on a winning streak of 183 consecutive home matches, dating back to 2003, which places them one win away from tying the all-time NCAA Division I record for any collegiate sport. The record also happened to come in tennis, when, between 1991-2011 the Stanford’s women’s tennis team won 184 straight home matches. The Buckeye men’s tennis program last lost at home on April 5, 2003 to Illinois. The following day they went on to beat Purdue and have not lost at home since.
