thought this would be better stated here…

I’m good with everything (including the OL) but man I’m nervous for the QB spot. Someone had to have been better and IMO we missed an enormous window to gel as an offense by not naming a starter 2 weeks ago.

I hate this platoon set up and I think this is all a terrible idea. Unlike ttun last year, we have a real game week 4. Normally I’d say that’s not necessarily a must win but considering what’s left on the schedule I think it is.

Someone has got to have played better… so I think we missed on this one.

I'm not worried about it at all. Day has earned the right, given his history with QBs, to make the decision on his timeline. This isn't 1997.

And there isn't really a reason to think someone has absolutely played better than the other either. Sometimes that happens in camp. The real differences may reveal themselves with game reps.

I’m reminded of the old saw “if you’ve got two, you don’t have one” at QB.

I’m also marveling at a kid’s ability to be a so-so right tackle at SDSU then a year later be the starting left tackle at Ohio State. That’s either the biggest one year improvement in the history of improvement or…..

My guess for a record this year: 9-3 regular season with another loss in The Game.

Hope to Woody I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure Day is who I think he is.

I’m not worried about the QB position. I watched CJ struggle on the road against Minnie in his first game. People were crying for McCord early in that season.

OL, yeah that’s a different story. Hopefully they can open some holes for our incredible backs we have. Might have to bring the TE in or keep a back in to help Simmons.

Crossing my fingers that we have the Jimmys and Joes to minimize the big play problems that have haunted the defense the last couple of seasons.

I read something yesterday suggesting that we could have two 100-yd rushers Saturday. I think it's more than possible that we could have three. Henderson feels like he has something to prove, Miyan gets 100 with enough touches, and Day has said that Chip will get meaningful minutes and he's capable of going 60-80 on one carry. Have there ever been three 100's in a game? USC back under Carroll, maybe?

Are your two families feuding? Not sure I've ever seen you be such a debbie. Yes it sucks losing to them 2x, but the staff didn't go full blackface iron man.

Without looking it up, I'd be shocked if there wasn't a situation where a team didn't have 3 100-yard rushers. I'd be shocked if Ohio State never got it.
And, again without looking it up, I'd guess we got it in.... some bowl game against BYU? I want to say one guy had 100 in the first quarter, and another guy had 100 in the second quarter. And maybe another guy in the second half?

I'll check and see if I'm remembering right.

Well, not that I was wrong, but I might not have been right.
Carlos Hyde, Braxton Miller, and Boom Herron did it in 2011 against Indiana.
It says this was the first time since 1989 that Ohio State did that. My memory was from a bowl game in the early 90's, so that must not have been right.
