Tells me that he really is one dumb motherfucker--just a completely toxic combination of arrogance and rank stupidity. What the hell did he think he was accomplishing with this? He's also painting Ono, who is probably still inclined to back him, into a corner. I want to see Jim and his merry band try that with the FBI.

Oh, they already are. Part of the reason their previous (still ongoing) investigation isn't settled, and why their little 3-game, non-conference suspension was deemed not good enough was because Simple Jim was a pain in the ass during that investigation. It would appear he's taking the same tack this time around and I'm here for it.

I agree with a post you made earlier... Ono will do what's best for Ono.
I disagree that, for Ono, that ever meant backing Harbaugh. He's smart enough to know who did this and smart enough to know he can't cover it up.
He will want to stay ahead of things, and that alway means throwing some people under the bus. Some real people, not a volunteer. Harbaugh has always been on the chopping block.
Playing dumb with these games just makes it easier for Ono to paint Harbaugh himself as a rogue actor and agent of chaos. One that he inherited and lacked ability to fire earlier.
