I'm really curious as to your thinking here .... Why would the NCAA want to piss off every other program by letting the Weasels skate on the biggest cheating scandal in college football history ?

After a lengthy and I'm sure a very expensive investigation, that all interested parties (like Vegas) will be watching, that their response is going to be .... "We have no balls so everyone should just disregard that we even exist and do whatever the hell you want."

I mean I know the NCAA doesn't have the best reputation in enforcement but .....
Because they don’t want Rich Eisen and Dave Portnoy ranting about “the biggest miscarriage of justice in sports history” for the rest of eternity. They don’t want to be on ESPN every day nonstop for the next 4-5 years. The NCAA has an egregious history of both coveting their public image and selective enforcement (just ask SMU). They will never beat down a school like Michigan. Never. They didn’t really do shit after the Fab 5, and they won’t really do shit now.

First, I agree with you. I have my doubts that the NCAA is going to do anything of any value in this case. They're a toothless organization, and if they attempt to do something to M*ch*gan, it's just going to show the world how weak they really are. It seems backward, but the strongest thing they can do is sit back and watch and give M*ch*gan some high fives.

Second, if the NCAA actually did something of value to M*ch*gan to make people aware of the consequences of cheating, and Rich Eisen or Dave Portnoy or anyone ranted about "the biggest miscarriage of justice in sports history", I think you and I and everyone outside of the M*ch*gan fanbase would agree that those guys are goobers. I mean, it's a far bigger miscarriage of justice that the NCAA, the playoff committee, the Big Ten, and Ohio State allowed M*ch*gan to get where they are than any punishment M*ch*gan could possibly get. Not arresting the 1972 (maybe I got the year wrong) Minnesota basketball team is a bigger miscarriage of justice. The fact that Ohio State was hammered for players getting tattoos, while M*ch*gan gets to cheat on the field is worse. Everyone will just laugh at those guys if they cry about it.

But again, back to your first point, we'll never need to find out. The NCAA will do nothing.

I'm not trying to be an ass but could I see a list of schools that are no longer subject to the rules. How Blue-Blood do you have to be to wear the teflon vest ?

What happens if the NCAA does nothing ? What's stopping future cheaters ? Where do we draw the line ? Is there a line anymore ? This should be fun ....
