The deep thinkers in the Coaches poll left the Top 10 all the same. UCLA moved up 7 spots, and Ky is still ranked. They gonna flip Alabama and Georgia again ain't they?
They actually gave Bama more first place votes after that drek. Fire all the internsThe deep thinkers in the Coaches poll left the Top 10 all the same. UCLA moved up 7 spots, and Ky is still ranked.

Given they play Bama this week they should be in the top 3 with a win. Question is ..... how far does Bama fall ??How long before they bump Tennessee into the top 3, just for a little insurance policy against having to make Ohio State #1.
They don't want OSU #1.... reason why?
Let's say worse case happens and we lose to ttun as #1. It'll be impossible to keep us out of the playoffs.
Thankfully these rankings change once the playoff committee starts ranking teams. I honestly think once that happens we'll be ranked #1.
Fully agreed there. The SEC team will always get the #1 seed in the playoff unless they absolutely have to give it to someone else (Say Ohio State is undefeated and UGA/Bama both have 1 loss)
You will also never see them do a SEC rematch in the 1st round. They'll always hedge the chance at that all SEC national title game.
It would suck to have a playoff rematch of teams that just met in a CCG, regardless of conference. But they can also avoid it by having a deserving tOSU at #1 and the SEC CCG loser at #4. They wouldn’t mind making the Buckeyes beat both of the SEC teams. But they’d need to have an undefeated team like Clemson, USC, UCLA, Okie State or TCU at #2 or #3.The SEC team will always get the #1 seed in the playoff unless they absolutely have to give it to someone else (Say Ohio State is undefeated and UGA/Bama both have 1 loss)
