2022 College Football Polls

Id rather see 3 SEC teams than give Michigan the satisfaction of losing to us but still making the playoff

Better would be USC making it. So scUM is stuck playing (and losing to) some 3 loss Pac 12 team in the Rose Bowl.
I hear you, but that's like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Like it or not, Ohio State's rankings, now, at the start of next season, and at CFP time is partially based on the strength of Penn State and Michigan. Michigan getting the plunger in the Rose Bowl does nothing to elevate Ohio State.

Most important thing for how we're ranked to start next year will be how we do in the playoffs. How tsun does in its bowl game will be almost irrelevant in comparison.

Refuse the revaluate Bama as always I see.

Tennessee loosing tells us as much about Bama as it does Tennessee but nope Bama is clearly Bama

scUM will lose to Ohio State, LSU will lose to Georgia in the SEC CCG, and if TCU or USC lose their remaining regular season game or in their CCG; fuckin Alabama will sneak in at #4.

SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC..it just means more....

How is Tennessee 3 spots below Bama?

I think both a 1-loss TTUN and a Clemson that beats USCe and UNC should finish above Bama. But if TCU, USC, and Clemson all lose, then Bama could sneak in.

Look at the bright side- the cacophony of whining from Ann Arbor would rival Tiebreaker/1973.

We are all gonna die of something- I want to go out from a 3 week schadenfreude rager.

Hence the reason polls really do matter, because they influence these dipshits. They just keep setting inferior teams up to take the place of the SEC teams that they've already propped up!

Now, some years it's warranted and you can see the quality but this year is a friggin farce.

The polls don't influence the CFP committee for shit, imo. It's the behind closed doors, deal making based on revenue projections stuff that's driving this bullshit. America's version of FIFA giving a World Cup to Qatar (nod to the soccer fans with that one).

The SEC/ESPN contingency is making damn sure they get a team in should disaster strikes in the SEC CG and UGA drop a game.
