DFBIA has adopted the mindset that just because a DT is 300+ pounds means they are good

Example #1 -

The 7TH YEAR DT from Oregon State, who from all reports is completely out of football shape (has not played since 2019) and often injured even when he does play. No evidence of any other major program offering him can be found anywhere.

DFBIA is completely geeked about it though

Example #2

Big hype for 3* (one rated under 500th nationally, and their main competition for him is Arizona State, Arkansas and the MAC) DTs "because they are big"

The best was the Vince Wilfork comparison.

Public Ivy targeting another rocket surgeon....
- He originally signed with San Jose State out of high school, but academic issues prevented him from attending, so he enrolled in JuCo.

Career stats 13 tackles, 3 TFL, 0 Sacks.

He'd fit right in.

Their newest crystal ball

a 244 pound DT 3* 500th+ nationally rated.

He is from Florida, but reads like one of those Northeastern Specials. Considering they are battling Duke, Uconn and Boston College for the kid.

Always feels like the odds on hitting on a Florida 3* is a lot higher than a 3* anywhere else. I'll take it
