Seems to me that a part of blocking involves moving guys out from the spot they're in to create a lane. A much bigger part involves keeping them from getting to the lane you want the ball carrier to be in.

This kid was teammates with Julian Flemming....and they were absolutely stoked about his commitment because he's also a wrestler. When an OLineman is also a wrestler, that's a good thing. He knows how to push people around. When a RB is also a wrestler? I guess that makes him athletic, but.....? Of course, logic didn't prevail when it came to the DFBIA fawning over their newest recruit.

I’m still amused that DFBIA can’t figure out that the 360 pound Oregon State DT probably isn’t a “good” 360 pounds. They just keep awing over the notion that he will be “hard to move”

If only there was some way for an offense to avoid the single gap where the unmoving object is located.
