It's so stupid this change didn't happen in April. The reasons cited this week were no different two months ago.

I believe the reason that this did not happen in April because it might have gotten pretty ugly. I do not think that Matta wanted to leave and I really do not know who talked him into finally thinking enough was enough… Maybe it was his wife or former players. I have no idea but I do not think it was a mutual departing.

He had shady dealings as a high school coach in Miami, and then some stuff assumed associated with his move from Kansas State to South Carolina. I don't think he's ever been officially brought up on NCAA violations, yet at least.

Yes, that's basically what I remember. I don't follow recruiting close enough at all, but for some reason remember all of the fuss about he and that other kid (Bill Walker) going to KSU.

Just read Frank Martin''s bio on Wikipedia. He will not be coming to Ohio State just based on what I read. He does not fit the mold.
