2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Sham.
Like I said last week, no problem if we get passed over for USC or TCU. But Bama has done nothing all year.
Knew their ticket was booked when Georgia won, though... Committee will say they don't really know who the best team in SEC is. And ofc SEC SEC SEC best ever conference - even when they're really not very good this year.

It's disappointing but I wasn't confident we'd get in this time. Regardless, this team was obviously flawed, probably the worst team in the Urban Era, but they still accomplished a hell of a lot. More than other OSU teams that were better. I hope the players can appreciate that. I know I do.

There are million$ of reason$ why no other bowl gets scheduled opposite the CFP.

My point was, our ratings would be higher. Depending on our opponent I honestly think they could.

Tons of Buckeye fans, pissed off B1G fans, pissed off PAC 12 fans.

Perhaps we start a hashtag #BamaBoycott? If someone has something better I'm open to suggestions.

How do you create an "official" hashtag that shows up on the Twitter drop down box? I'm not a millennial and have only been using Twitter to argue with Tenn and Bama fans this week.

They are proof of anything but.

How so? The committee has made it clear the conference titles are not like a playoff. The committee has shown how they decide seems to change on what data point they are going to use the most.

In 2015 we were left out for pretty much the same reason Bama got in this year. If there is no consistency on how they are going to decide, at least make it so that their inability to decide the criteria only affects teams outside of 8.... there is always going to be controversy.

We blew it when we got boatraced by Iowa. Everyone in the forums that day said our playoff chances were dead and we didn't deserve to be there and it was true. This outcome should surprise no one even though our resume is better.

Here is our problem... We are INCONSISTENT! You never knew if you were going to get world beater OSU or struggling mid tier OSU or something in between. 25% of the time we play like we could beat anyone. 50% of the time we play like a decent team, albeit one with issues. The other 25% of the time we look like a mess. It has been this way since 2016 (and even a bit in 2015 thanks to tereible playcalling and scheming).

The committee did not want to hang their hat on a team that they didnt know what they would get. With the way this team has played it would have been just as possible it would be a repeat of the 2016 CFP clemson massacare as much as it could be a good game or even a win by us. If it were a repeat of 2016 it could really damage the playoffs for years to come.

The safe and smart bet for the committee was to select Bama. I hope Bama gets blown out just because, but the chances are slimmer that happens with Bama compared to us.

Our passing game is abysmal. Our playcalling where we run the QB more than the RB is nuts. Unfortunately it seems like ot is out of neccessity because of our passing woes. Next year with Haskins I think we get a much better balanced offense. In fact, I think if we had Haskins running the offense this year I think we could have made a run for a championship.

The committee has shown the most important thing is the eye test. Throw out strength of schedule, quality wins, and conference championships. Gary Danielson's eye test is what matters
