2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Continuing to travel down memory lane ...

2015 Buckeyes had 132 yds against Sparty playing at home!
Sparty had 294 yds playing their 2nd/3rd String qb's.

But yes, imo if 2015 Buckeyes played 2015 'bama they win 9 out of 10 times. Even in the frickin' Sugar Bowl!

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year! ~ Dandy Don Meredith

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!! *** HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

carry on ...

That game... I don't remember anything other than 1) cold ass rain 2) cold ass air 3) no Zeke.

I am comfortable with how this ended up, but the truth is that we were not left out because we lost by 31 to Iowa. We were left out because we were a two loss team that lost by 31 to Iowa. We got left out because we lost to Oklahoma. The message from the committee is don't schedule the big dogs.

Time to go to 8 team playoff, the last 3 years are proof of that now.

I agree that the playoffs need to be expanded but I think the magic number is six teams. Eight is bit too diluted for my liking. The number eight team will likely get plungered every year. However, there is a chance that team can win it all but that might happen once every ten years. Not enough excitement for me in my IMO.

I was looking over the Buckeyes future schedules hoping we can avoid the Bama cupcake OOC. I looked at 2019 and saw the following OOC schedule for the Bucks:

FAU
Cinci
Miami (Ohio)

My first thought was no way (even if they run the table) they get in the playoffs with that OOC schedule. After the committee's decision today, I'm not concerned about that anymore.
