2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

another benefit of Miami losing which I didn't think of is now Wisconsin moves up to #4 most likely. Which means if we win out we will have just beaten a top 4 playoff bound team.

That'll be two top 8 wins plus a conference championship game. When you consider what else we bring to the table like fans and money it will make us really appealing no matter who we are compared to (Other then maybe OU).

If it's Miami losing I would say w/o a doubt, if it's Clemson losing close I wouldn't rule them quite out to be honest, fair or unfair you know the committee won't forget last year even though it clearly should have no barring. You are likely right but I would be a touch nervous still.
It'll be moot anyways as Clemson will win but even if Miami wins I believe Clemson is out. They'll have 2 losses just like us but will lack top 10 wins and of course a conference championship in this scenario (again basing it off us winning out)

if you're needing a team to win out though is there really a better team? At least we need them to win out and not Georgia/Auburn.

Crappy thing is I think Bama loses tomorrow personally.

Nick Saban has never beat an Auburn team that had at least 9 wins (0-3 at LSU, 0-3 at Alabama).

Because I know that stat, I'm confident he breaks it.

Alabama vs OSU, Oklahoma vs. Clemson...either way, we get redemption in the championship :)

No there really isn't, but sadly anytime I want Bama to lose (which is always) they always seem to pull it out. So I feel like the one time I ever root for them, it might reverse the luck and they'll lose.

Yes, but if they lose to Clemson, they'll now be a 2 loss, non champion that dropped their last two games. No way they get in over us then.
Or the flip side (Miami wins ACC) is you now have a Clemson team with a comparably bad loss (Syracuse/Pitt/Iowa) that is also a 2 loss, non-conference champ.

Picture is surprisingly pretty clear at this point. Crazy.
