2013 Preseason and regular polls

One, our game versus Sparty was "real important" 4 hours ago, unless you don't think 24 game winning streaks and conference titles are worth the time.

Two, if you think a one-loss Auburn is no threat to us when it comes to the voters you haven't been paying attention the last 7 years. SEC teams are held to a different standard - one loss is often forgiven by the pollsters, whether we like it or not.

Accepting that as an inevitability and not an absurdity is part of the problem.

You guys keep saying SEC teams are forgiven one loss by the BCS. Show me precedent. No, TCU, UTAH, or Boise don't count.

Longest winning streak in FBS:

tOSU 24
FSU 14
NIU 12

No other teams are in double digits. The top 2 teams are in line to play for the NC.

This is the only thing I will say to anyone who questions our ranking after this weekend. Oh, I'll also tell them to shit in their hat while they are at it.

The stakes just got bigger for next week.

No longer is it win and go to the Rose and maybe the NC.

Its now win and go to the National Championship. Lose and go to the Capital One Bowl.

Has a team with 1 loss only(in the championship game) ever gone to a BCS bowl? Even if we lose I don't see us falling out of the top 10 and I would think OSU is too big of a brand name to get left out

Really the game of Clemson-SC has diminished because were no longer worried about jumping FSU. I just think a THREE loss SC beating Auburn would be better.

The worst case scenario is: Mizzou losing tonight, sending SC to the championship in which Auburn houses SC.

You are correct though, Buckeyes have to win next week for it all to matter. I have faith that a 1 loss SEC team wont jump the Buckeyes if they handle business.

Doesnt matter as much now, but im still hoping for an sec matchup.
