2013 Preseason and regular polls

So who do we want to come out of the SEC east to play Auburn USCeast or Mizzou?

No brainer - Carolina, because they have two losses. Any SEC champion with one loss is treated like an unbeaten team from any other conference. That's the BCS, whether we like it or not.

We want South Carolina to win the SEC.

Ideal scenario:

Clemson beats SC (makes them look bad), TAMU beats Mizzou. Then SC beats Auburn in the SEC Championship. This would solidify that auburn would NOT jump the Buckeyes.
I disagree.

SC already has two losses. We don't need Clemson to make them look bad. Clemson getting housed by SC taints FSU's "big" win, too.

SC winning tonight then winning the SEC title is best for us. But none of it matters if we don't take care of Sparty.

I don't see any way that OSU isn't in the title game now provided they beat MSU. That game just got real important.
One, our game versus Sparty was "real important" 4 hours ago, unless you don't think 24 game winning streaks and conference titles are worth the time.

Two, if you think a one-loss Auburn is no threat to us when it comes to the voters you haven't been paying attention the last 7 years. SEC teams are held to a different standard - one loss is often forgiven by the pollsters, whether we like it or not.

Right. Because of that year a one loss SEC team went to the BCS CG over an undefeated team from a BCS conference. What year was that again?

I'm sure ESPN will push it non-stop, but I can't imagine voters buying that shit. They haven't yet.

Really the game of Clemson-SC has diminished because were no longer worried about jumping FSU. I just think a THREE loss SC beating Auburn would be better.

The worst case scenario is: Mizzou losing tonight, sending SC to the championship in which Auburn houses SC.

You are correct though, Buckeyes have to win next week for it all to matter. I have faith that a 1 loss SEC team wont jump the Buckeyes if they handle business.
