Except they have LOTS of time to complain about why they don't get more out of said recruits.Joe6809;2096927; said:Last week's haul has made this week seem really quiet, and in turn... pretty boring. With the speed Meyer has been able to bring in recruits, the next year could be a reeeeeally boring one for us. That must be what it's like for Texas fans, when it takes them a month to fill their class with studs, then they just have to sit there and wait for the next recruiting cycle to start up.

If not, I fail to see the reason for banking scholarships for next year if you are in the hunt for talented people this year. I'm definitely not an advocate of handing extra scholarships out to whoever wants them, but if you have the shot to get talent in Year 1, what sense does it make to roll them over into year 2 when you are essentially betting on being in the same position as you are now?
Even if there are limited numbers for next year, I am willing to bet there will be more than a few players who transfer out as a result of the regime change. Any of the players OSU is in on now would be great additions in any year so I am all for keeping the momentum associated with the new hire rolling and being as aggressive as possible down the homestretch.

It may help to bank a couple and get 17 top level guys next year than reach on someone late this year. In other words, if the kid you get this year isn't going to play, and you can most likely get someone better next year, it is best to wait.
