ESPN - Big Ten signing day predictions

1/26

Big Ten teams are making the final push toward national signing day, and several of the nation's top recruits remain uncommitted.

ESPN's recruiting experts have made predictions on where several coveted uncommitted prospects will end up signing on Wednesday. If they prove to be correct, some Big Ten fan bases will be pleased.

Let's take a look:
Athlete Davonte Neal (No. 8 in ESPNU 150): Five of seven experts predict Ohio State
OT Andrus Peat (No. 9 in ESPNU 150): Three of seven experts predict Nebraska
Athlete Stefon Diggs (No. 13 in ESPNU 150: One of seven experts predicts Ohio State
OT Joshua Garnett (No. 44 in ESPNU 150): Three of seven experts predict Michigan
OT Jordan Diamond No. 94 in ESPNU 150): Six of seven experts predict Michigan
DE Jamal Marcus: Five of seven experts predict Ohio State
S Trae Elston: Two of seven experts predict Penn State
WR Monty Madaris: Five of seven experts predict Michigan State
WR Andre McDonald: Four experts predict Minnesota, one predicts Illinois
Athlete Demetrious Cox: Four experts predict Michigan State, two predict Penn State, one predicts Ohio State
G Alex Kozan: Four experts predict Iowa, two predict Michigan
RB Imani Cross: One expert predicts Nebraska

It'll be interesting to see how these predictions turn out.

He is staying in Eugene.

Well, okay, Rutgers has a pair of 4 star OTs and a 4 star receiver.

Also, I know that running back for the team that Noah Spence played against in the championship game is going to Rutgers. I believe I recall that Urban asked him how serious he was about Rutgers.

The battles between our defensive line and their offensive line are going to be epic in a few years. Both units are going to be elite.

Rutgers OL recruits

I haven't seen anything posted on this. I realize it is really late in the game but a big shake up just before signing day and a pretty good OL class coming in makes me wonder if UFM put any calls out to JJ Denman, Chris Muller, or Ryan Brodie. I guess I am asking to partially gauge how serious the coaches view our OL needs. I know Decker and O'Connor helped a whole lot and hopefully Dodson comes aboard so admittedly the situation is much better than anyone thought a few months ago. Still, I viewed our current needs along the line as so bad that I would still take a look around if good prospects were available. I know our interest in Diamond cooled and I wonder if it is solely because we felt good about Dodson filling our needs for this class. Obviously the staff has a big class currently and they are focused on a speedster, CB, etc. but do they make a late run at any of these guys? Call me an overly cautious fan but I think Braxton is a total stud and I want him well protected.

Thank God for BP and 11W. I almost thought about watching ESPiNU on the 1st. Then I remembered that I didn't need to.

You can bet it won't be worth watching ESPiN on signing day because they will be shamelessly pimping the SEC and how great they are all day.
And the Buckeyes will hardly get a mention. Politics.

Now the Big Ten Network will do a great job of covering recruiting and I urge all to watch.

I personally think if we get Dodson, we are OK for this year. We have Fragel and Norwell at tackle, with Hall, Decker, and Dodson to back them up. Is it ideal? No, but we have needs at CB, LB, and WR that still need addressed and with big names to fill those needs. Plus, tackle is a major priority in '13, with numerous offers out to big names (Tilley-Tulman, Pocic, Gray, etc.).

BTN is going to cover it? I didn't know that.
