2012 In-state Players to Watch

2012 Jeremy Campbell Northmont

Jeremy Campbell Northmont
DT, FB and ATH. 5'11", 236. http://www.scoutingohio.com/index.p...gallerytab&gallerytabgallerytab_limitstart=10
This kid is a sleeper running under the radar. He is built like a tank and will one day be a great FB in college. ((Qoute from SWOF WEB SITE)Powerful force in the middle with a nice burst, when Jeremy stays low he is a force wrecking havoc in the middle. Some may pass on Campbell because of his height is not ideal but forget about that just roll the film and watch #45 compete against some of the best talent in one of the toughest divisions and conferences in the state of Ohio. Jeremy uses his size to his advantage staying low and out leveraging his opponent pressing the LOS into the backfield. Sound grunt in the trenches that racks up numbers allmost unheard of for a DT.)

Jeremy was named Friday night's football star: Week 4

Lewis breaks out

Written by Marc Givler

The Pickerington Central Tigers are absolutely loaded with skill position players and one of the best is junior Roger Lewis. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver/defensive back has really emerged this season as a big play weapon for the Tigers on offense and special teams and so far has played a major role in the Tigers' 3-0 start.

Continued...

"I've got mail from Akron, Toledo, South Florida, and Nebraska sent me a letter (last Monday) when we got back from the game," Lewis explained. "They (Nebraska) basically introduced me to their program and coaches and everything."

"Growing up in the Buckeye State I like the Buckeyes," Lewis said. "I've always been with them but right now it matters where I'm going to get to play. I'm not going to just go to a school and not play. I would like to play early. I actually like Cincinnati. My sister is going there, she's going to be a freshman."

OhioVarsity.com - Parris' Primetime Performers: Week Five

Middletown pushed its record to 5-0 with a 42-9 shellacking of Hamilton. But the score may have been much closer had it not been for junior defensive back Cody Quinn. A week after tallying his first varsity touchdown off an interception return, Quinn made two touchdown saving tackles in which he caught up to ball carriers after 60 yard runs. For good measure, the speedy Quinn also added a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter.

Interest in Thompkins is growing
October 3, 2010 - Review Staff Reports

The word is out on Marky Thompkins - that's evident by the more than 2.5 million views of the "hurdling" video uploaded nearly a week ago on YouTube.

The 18-second clip of the play from Week 5's double-overtime win at Struthers has been featured on ESPN and FOX News and was a top highlight on the Yahoo! main page.

But it also appears as if the college football world appears to be paying attention to his overall play.

According to Scout.com, the East Liverpool junior quarterback has received interest from some major programs, including the team sitting at No. 2 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

"My coach just heard from Ohio State today (Wednesday) and they want me to visit for a home game," Thompkins told Scout.com. "Ohio State is my favorite team, and the team I've always rooted for. It's an honor to hear from them, and I will definitely be scheduling a visit some time."
