WAYNE - CENTERVILLE GAME - TALENT STEPS-UP

OL Benny McGowan (212) missed all last season with a leg injury. To some extent, it is evident. Needs more snaps. Bends really well. Finishes blocks. Good burst off LOS. Tough competitor. Listed 6'4. Needs to add weight to frame. Because of a run-oriented offense, needs to continue work on pass blocking. Good base, just needs to keep working on footwork. DB Jay Mastin (212) was solid at FS. Listed 6'2-200 and carries that weight well. Tough on run support. Needs to be more explosive. Understands coverages. Needs to keep working on speed. Really need to see more of him.

DE Ifeadi Odenigbo (212) is a long DE. Listed 6'4-205. Once he understands the game should be good. Very long with some burst. Need to see him run and also change direction. Has the frame to add weight. Although do not know what his assignments are, would like to see more aggressiveness. Hopefully see him in camp.

WR Armani Miller (212) moved up my list as one of the top WR's in his class. Listed 6'1-175 and probably close to that. Excellent burst. Better after the catch. Explodes on contact. Excellent concentration. Seven catches for 143 yards and 1 TD. Catches the ball out in front with his hands. Runs excellent routes and uses speed to separate. WR Marshall Peterson (212) has improved much since I saw him early in the season. Will go over the middle. Soft hands. Big - listed at 6'2-195. Needs to improve speed and burst. Sure hands and good route runner. Blocks well. Jordan Morgan (212) RB looked good at times. Fast. Good vision. Good balance. Strong runner with a burst. Seems to make defenders miss.

Davis one of Ohio's top juniors

Last Winter, the Dublin Coffman program was the beneficiary of a big time transfer. Marcus Davis, one of the top junior receivers in Ohio made the move from Olentangy Liberty. So far, the move has went well for the 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect.

"It's definitely been a positive thing for me," said Davis of the move. "When I came to Coffman, the football team really took me in. I just became friends with everyone, especially Cole (Stoudt). He was one of the first guys that I really became friends with and that definitely helped with him being the quarterback."

Davis has added yet another weapon to Coffman's high-powered offense and in his first game as a Shamrock, Davis found the end zone albeit in a loss to Westerville South in the Herbstreit Varsity Series.

My dad called to tell me he thinks a Xenia kid, James Sanford (scouting Ohio profile) will be offered by Ohio state. Not sure how solid this is but it's not everyday that OSU talks about players from Xenia. My dad has been very involved in Xenia athletics for years. He helps on the sidelines at various sporting events and knows all the coaches.
I do want to mention I asked my dad why he wasn't playing at Wayne.
