Do you think we will add a kicker in next year's class?

Martin seems to be good enough that he may have to be offered. In addition to winning the camp awards wade mentioned, he'd rated as one of the top three kickers nationally at several kicking camps he's attended (see his profile here). Assuming Drew Basil plays this season and Martin could come in and redshirt, he'd still have three years as the starting kicker.

Does anyone know anything about a junior WR from Cols. DeSales named Charles Chandler? I saw about half of the DeSales-Gahanna game tonight and he made a sweet catch on a jump ball as well as a few other plays. I couldn't watch as closely or as long as I would've liked as I had my 2 young kids with me. In the little I saw he looked like a player and I'm just wondering if he might be someone to watch. All I could find about him is that he's listed at 6'3 175 and also plays hoops.

Ohio High School Football – Blitz on Vindy.com – Youngstown, Warren, Mahoning Valley - Fitch consistent in Chaney rout - Blitz 2010

Then Will Mahone picked off a tipped pass and returned it 20 yards for the Falcons? third touchdown in 4:04 of play.

?I thought the tight end was going to catch the ball, but it just happen to drop into my hands,? said Mahone who also returned a fourth-quarter kickoff 84 yards.

Mahone said he enjoyed the interception return more ?because it was a close game then.?

?Oh it?s bigger than that,? Mahone said. ?Poland has a good program. [Wide receiver] Darius Patton and quarterback Colin Reardon are back. The [Davis] twins and I have been to camps with them and we are sort of close. It should be a fun time.?

http://www.vindy.com/news/2010/sep/04/fitch-defense-turns-up-the-heat/

Whatever momentum Poland High had in its week one victory over Hubbard was quickly taken away by Austintown Fitch High.

Well, more specifically by junior linebacker Will Mahone.

The Falcons (2-0) opened up on the Bulldogs (1-1) at Dave Pavlansky Field to the tune of a 48-13 victory. But the momentum of the game was squarely with the Falcons thanks to Mahone and the defense.

Poland won the toss, but deferred to Fitch.

Fitch chose to receive, and scored on its opening drive on a 5-yard touchdown run by junior quarterback Demitrious Davis.

After the ensuing kick, Poland junior quarterback Colin Reardon ran on the Bulldogs' first offensive play, scampering for 15 yards. Running along side him was Mahone, who casually reached in and snagged the ball away, and returned it 20 yards to the Poland 25-yard line.

Four FGs and one tough D lead Walsh Jesuit to win over Archbishop Hoban - cleveland.com

Junior Ross Martin kicked field goals of 27, 40, 35 and 42 yards and added two extra points in a steady west-to-east wind and Walsh's defense came up with six turnovers as the Warriors defeated visiting Archbishop Hoban, 26-6, in front of a standing-room-only crowd in excess of 4,000 at Conway Memorial Field.

"I am a big believer that our kicking game is a huge part of the offense," said Martin, who attended kicking camps at Ohio State, Michigan, California-Berkeley and Wake Forest over the summer. "Whenever the coaches call on me, it's my job. This is what I do. It's great to be able to help the team."

Will was later quoted; that he learned the move as a young boy, watching the 2003 Fiesta Bowl. (I'm only kidding:biggrin:)
