2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

What a great time to be a Bucks fan! When I was in hs/college I remember going to the Ozone board and there would be endless threads on TSUN poaching some of Ohios best players and then them coming back to spank us every year. Now its just not the same.........This thread alone is causing me to visit this board quite a bit more than in past off seasons.

Here's the thing, if they were still good but were losing The Game ala OSU in the 90's they could still have some pride and say we just had their number. Being good overall and losing to a rival isn't humiliating, its infuriating.

What scUM is going through is a complete and total humiliation for a program that unabashadly reveled in their institutional arrogance. They are losing battles on the field to Appy State and Toledo, they are losing recruiting battles to Tulsa. The karma generated from the "Pardon our Arrrogance" attitude has come home to roost and it's a soul crushing, heartless bitch. The abject humiliation they are suffering is right and it is good.

I have said it before but I hope they lose so often for so long they quit the sport. I don't want to hear how it affects The Game or the B10's reputation or anything else. Nothing is more enjoyable than watching those arrogant bastards competely humiliated. Nothing.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxrTIsVPJLw]YouTube - 2009 Michigan Wolverines Spring Practice[/ame]

Sheridan and Tater Tot look about the same in these passing drills. You can see the Ohio State dummies in the background towards the end of the video.

If they're the same as from earlier videos/practices, he just slapped one osu sticker on each. Even the motivational decorations are small.

Saw a pic - in an avatar - of Tate wearing a um jersey with red numbers. I guess he is preparing for defense in November after all :p

As for Tate's arm, many on UM boards are now claiming those throws were from a practice where his arm was sore, or maybe slightly injured. That, or he's about 165 lbs. That was also while Sheridan was still playing spring football and splitting reps.

No question he'll be a better passer than Sheridan, but that's not saying much.

They won't have any idea how Tate will perform until their first game, even moreso than normal. They can't afford to hit him this spring, when that's precisely what he needs to practice against the most. He's athletic and can become a solid passer, but what happens when he's got a guy twice his size barreling down on him... or after he has already racked up a handful of those hits?

Vincent smith, the new #2 slotdot playing rb, looks good. A few things come to mind:

1) unlike mcguffie, he shouldn't be asked to carry a heavy load before he is ready, assuming minor has his act together this year

2) unless he's Noel devine part 2, then the defensive fundamentals still look like a major problem for this team.

See I wish they would have gotten Beaver

Losing Beaver to Tulsa was a dam shame.

TSUN totally lost out on the opportunity to convert him to a slot receiver ...

"And, yes, its Beaver, wide open, reeling in a ball for 69"

Cue MASH cheer leading squad...

I'm not sure who writes mgoblog, but I can say his work is usually funny and informed. Sadly, however, he now appears to be clear evidence that the RR transformation is complete. Aside from "You've never seen a guy like X" from our mid-major fans, what's the other thing you can't get away from? The whole "I'm too good for this" feel when they discuss how much we care about Ohio State football, and how badly we hate our rival.

Here's the thing - I take NO shame in loving Ohio State football. I take NO shame in hating Michigan football. So, mgblog author, you're gonna have to come a lot stronger than this MAC level bullshit.

Envy?
You should be ashamed. You fuckers shake your keys to make noise!
You fuckers leave a 10-0 ball game against Northwestern at half just because it's raining.
You fuckers have ZERO home grown Heisman's.
You fuckers have the inability to realize the greatest weight of your "all time wins" came before most of the living were even born

You fuckers think we worship a 3-8 sinking ship? You fuckers think we "envy" you? When you fuckers had a decent team, the whole 'envy and worship' retort was mildly cutting... now.... you sound like you're fan #1 in the MAC.

I don't know... maybe if you fuckers focused on Ohio State a little bit, you'd field a competitive team...... Whatever, that's our ass you're smelling down there in the cellar.

That right there is what I'm looking forward to most in this year's game. Can't wait to see Sabino or Spitler lay his ass out.
