My biggest beef here is that you're doing what they do. I can't stand Ohio State fans, the colors, the stupid tuba thing, the crooked treatment of their players, etc... but they win, against us, and the damn vest can coach. I'll tell you he's an asshole for looking the other way at the most convenient times, but I'll never say he can't coach. That's where the rivalry is built...
But this post right here shows something that really confuses me. I've gone toe to toe several times with Pogue on this site, and what I don't get is WHAT ARE THEY DOING HERE?? If you're a damn Buckeye fan, why not go to a damn Buckeye site and download "Hang On Sloopy" until nut stickers appear on your forehead??? I mean, really, what's the purpose of skulking around MgoBlog when you can be on your own team's site, sites, message boards, user groups, et. al. I have so much time in the day where I can ingest Internet information, and only so much of that information can be about football-- and I'll tell you all right now that I wouldn't waste a second of it on a damn Buckeye site when I could be here, or thewolverine or something like that...
So dude, what are you doing over there?? What do you really gain? What isn't Brian giving you?
Oh, and PS. GO AWAY DAMN BUCKEYE FANS
I'm adding to the conversation which apparently you don't have to worry about. As long as I don't approach you e-violently, which you did enough of there, what's the problem? Skulking around...please. Maybe the team I root for on all other Saturdays than the 3rd one of November happens to be Michigan? Honestly it shouldn't be that confusing as to why a buckeye fan would read things from Michigan's point of view.

And to this day I still have no idea what "unverified voracity" refers to.
I agree with you completely. I don't care one bit who they get unless we're after the same guy. Maybe it is slightly elitist but isn't that our role in the rivalry, the civil good guys, "Michigan Men", and there [sic] the couch burning inbreds who'll trash any car with Michigan tags the week of the game. They may be sterotypes but they started from somewhere. And even in spite of our [censored]ty record last season they still follow our every move like scorned ex's who just can't be happy even in their own victories.
Me:Fair enough, let's talk. I will give you guys this-- you're all smart enough to be respectful enough here, since it is a Michigan site. Brian would likely ban you otherwise, just as any proud OSU webmaster would if I showed up over there and started talking the smack. So for that I'll say thank you. But honestly, the fact is-- I JUST DO NOT GET IT. Why? Why not be over there bonding with your fellow Buckeyes? Other than gathering intel behind enemy lines, I cannot see the purpose behind it. Maybe I'm being close-minded, but I keep looking at it in a shoe-on-the-other-foot perspective, and personally I just don't care about OSU stuff, except to perhaps read the team & coach interviews during the week of the game.
Maybe it's just a general trust thing, and that's no reason to get directly personal or antagonistic with you on a one-on-one basis. For that I apologize... nothing is meant towards you or, say, pogue directly, but that doesn't mean it isn't capable of offending you. I won't guarantee I'll stop either, but then again you're not exactly the target audience here, so I hope you can respect that in this community.
And finally, and I mean this in the most respectful way possible... if your 2nd favorite team behind Ohio St. is Michigan, it is honestly hard for me to respect you. It's just such a contradictory statement that I cannot help but question your moral fiber. The same could be said of a Michigan fan who lists OSU as their 2nd, a Yankees fan who lists Boston as their 2nd, etc. etc. If your second favorite team is the primary rival of your #1, it just becomes hard not to dismiss you altogether. And deep down I wonder if you really meant that, or if you were just playing the devil's advocate.
This part is for you BP!I didn't say favorite, you would have to hold a gun to my head in order for me to consider saying that. I said that I root for Michigan on all other Saturdays, simply because I'd rather feel satisfied in beating a great Michigan team than the awkward celebration that's been happening the past couple seasons.
Now back to the task at hand:To be honest at first all I did was stay on Ohio State websites . . . but when I stumbled on BuckeyePlanet I found fans from LSU, ND, PSU, USC, FL, and all over. I guess it opened my eyes to the fact that not every poster from another school on your site is a troll/flamer. They've added insight on what to expect when we play their teams, bars and places to hang out at if you travel to their stadiums, and other things that make my experience as a Buckeye fan that much fuller knowing what its like for other fans of other teams.
Not to get too sappy but it's not like Ohio State lines up and plays Ohio State every Saturday afternoon, undeniably there will be other fans from other teams and other states that are involved. I can still talk/post with them while wishing every single misfortune from above rains down on their football team. It makes it funner (for me anyway) to know the team we are playing. I like knowing how to pronounce Boubakar Cissoko, I like knowing that Clemon's was Pryor's cousin, and knowing that Michigan is recruiting a quarterback who's first name is Munchie. What's wrong with that?
Riiiiiiiiight. That's why, on any given day, you can go on their boards and find 2-3 threads about Ohio State on the front page (There's two on Stadium & Main right now for instance, and guess what! One of them has the most responses on the page!). Fuckin' clown. And they aren't the top two threads on this site. get your fucking facts straight douchemaize.scUM Douche;1438578; said:
Exactly. I hate m*ch*g*n. I hate their idiotic fans, I hate their colors, their stupid stadium and their dumb helmets. Fuck 'em.BuckeyeNation27;1438656; said:You can explain it even easier than that. This thread is a conglomerate of anything michigan related. If you did the same for anything Ohio State related on a michigan board, it would be just as big.

This is my first post and even though it says I haven't been a member for very long I have been riding with the blog since the dead period between the 1-2 "game" and the nightmare against SC. Being a lurker of all things Michigan football on the net I remember when buckeyeplanet was the only other place to get free in depth recruiting info (before the more neutral recruitingplanet and varsityblue) besides Brian and the occasional Jim Stefani post. With all that being said, from time to time after I've exhausted all of my other recruiting resources, I go back over to bp to see if anything may have slipped through Brian's near omniscient grasp. After perusing their site looking for anything substantive I felt compelled to post; the thing that gets me about buckeye fans is their unholy unabated obsession with Michigan. They have this thread over their called "TSUN and Recruiting" and it has the most replies on the whole *** site, filled with drivel and gobbeldy gook ***, and the second biggest thread is the one about RR. Even in the horribly biased HBO doc on The Rivalry it was apparent that they envy us and we for the most part could give a *** about them. Maybe its just me but, Michigan fans just aren't that concerned with them (for clarity's sake I've never been on a Rivals or Scout board). Over here we don't devote entire threads to them and the day-to-day minutiae that they do over there at bp (they got post up about things like the Leach pro-RR rant on WTKA from a few months back). It bothers me that they talk all this *** but then worship us from afar disguising it as disgust. I know I've been talking a lot but this post was like 4-years in the making, and I had to get it off my chest.

See I wish they would have gotten Beaver and Muchie. That way their QB situation could be known as "Munchin Beaver" which would just make DickRods program much more enjoyable to make fun of.CleveBucks;1438693; said:I will LMAO when they lose a QB named Munchie to Tulane a year after they lose a QB named Beaver to freakin Tulsa.
