As for Tate's arm, many on UM boards are now claiming those throws were from a practice where his arm was sore, or maybe slightly injured. That, or he's about 165 lbs. That was also while Sheridan was still playing spring football and splitting reps.
So he's already getting banged up in no-contact spring practice drills? Unless that kid puts on a solid 15-20 pounds before the season starts, he's gonna be about 2-3 solid hits from Sheridan time again...

No question he'll be a better passer than Sheridan, but that's not saying much.
Based on what I saw in that video, which wasn't much, he has more zip on the ball. But how can you really tell what you have in choreographed spring drills without a 270 lb defensive lineman baring down on him?

They won't have any idea how Tate will perform until their first game, even moreso than normal. They can't afford to hit him this spring, when that's precisely what he needs to practice against the most. He's athletic and can become a solid passer, but what happens when he's got a guy twice his size barreling down on him... or after he has already racked up a handful of those hits?
Exactly. I doubt he was hardly ever hit in HS, and he's gonna get hit a lot in that offense. It will be interesting to see how he handles that. Will he shake it off until his body gives out, or will he become a jittery, mistake-prone mess?

Vincent smith, the new #2 slotdot playing rb, looks good. A few things come to mind:

1) unlike mcguffie, he shouldn't be asked to carry a heavy load before he is ready, assuming minor has his act together this year
He does look shifty, but he's also tiny. Also have to assume Minor can stay healthy, which remains to be seen.

2) unless he's Noel devine part 2, then the defensive fundamentals still look like a major problem for this team.
He's not and they are. I think Robinson was a step in the right direction for their defense, but he has to be scratching his head wondering what he got himself into right about now. Wondering if they spent any time on defense before he arrived...

I haven't heard any word on Toussaint or their new "golden child" Gallon getting qualified. Anybody heard anything?

That right there is what I'm looking forward to most in this year's game. Can't wait to see Sabino or Spitler lay his ass out.
Me too. It will be extra special due to the fact it's gonna happen in front of his own fans.

Just in the interest of accuracy, Brown is an injury-prone regular running back, not one of DickRod's army of undersized RB's/slot-dots. I know the odds are he was, but he's a beefy 205 lbs.

If there are any UM fans still in denail about what is happening to their program they need to think long and hard about targets like these.
What do you mean? They're still the Harvard of the Midwest that sometimes takes risks on kids who don't make it. The reason DickRod is struggling is because the cupboard was bare but their recruiting has always been awesome. The reason they'll suck this year is because the talent isn't there, but every kid they get is better than Pryor/just like Charles Woodson. There's nothing contradictory at all about any of that. Michigan fans are totally logical right now.

are there any trademark infringements going on here? they can't steal our exact shade of ugly blue and put it on their tackling dummies without express written consent of major league baseball....can they?

What really matters is whether those helmet stickers are black or green.
