From the $. Basically a complete rehash of their thoughts going into last year. Many saying the offense will surprise, the defense will be dominant, blah, blah, blah...

Hey the offense was a surprise last year, it was surprising exactly how crappy it was. The defense was also dominant but that was against their "surprising" offense in practice :wink2:!

Facts to keep handy during the silly season (off season in which scUM fans grow more delusional by the day regarding the upcoming season).

2008 scUM defensive ranks:
Rush: 50th
Pass: 87th
Total: 67th
Scoring: 84th

366 yards and 29 points allowed per game and they will be worse this year.

2008 scUM offensive ranks:
Rush: 59th
Pass: 108th
Total: 109th
Scoring: 99th
Pass Efficency: 112th

290 yards and 20 points a game for an offense that could be worse, certainly won't be much better.

I'll be shocked if they are better than 6-6. Shocked.

I am a bit slow so please help me out with the Barwis guy.

Last year UM was going to shock the world with their conditioning. They kind of did, but the UM consensus quickly changed to "it takes two years" to experience the full Barwis effect.

Yet, in six months he will turn Forcier into Jared Lorenzen?

I guess a foolish inconsistency is the hobgoblin of little wolverweenies.

Barwis (!!!!!!11!!!1!!) is so awesome, he broke Nick Sheridan's leg for poor bench press form with his left pinkie finger.

How are they spinning this one?

yeah, the fact that he had no other offers has to raise some red flags at the very least

maybe Barwis (!!!11!!) has some magic elixir that makes people several inches taller and able to move from slot receiver to other positions flawlessly with no drop off or learning curve

Hey hey hey... RR is desperate, the kid wanted to commit, it's a win-win-win!

Wait that's three wins...whose the third to? Oh yeah the Ohio State Defense... I can hear it now ... Jim Tressel looking at the munchkins lined up across from his team and thinking in a "Ahhhnold" voice:

"I GOING TO BREAK YOU GIRLIE MEN!"

Oh how is scUM spinning it? Who knows; they're probably sucking a pacifier and repeating the words "The Game is not as important to us...The Game is not as important to us..."

Rivals $

3/26

5'9" 170 lb TX ATH Tony Drake committed on receiving his first offer. Ready to get to AA to beat OSU.

RR just can't have enough...

:slappy:

Four WRs, an ATH, and one LB. Yep, that spells balanced recruiting...

I guess this is the hazard of floating so many offers...some of the kids are gonna accept them right away.

I've said it a million times, Dick is recruiting like he's still at a second-tier program, not a premier one like scUM should be...bad juju.
