2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

here's a gem from mgoblog about the drake commitment

EDIT: just saw his rivals film and he loves scoring long TD's. and i love watching long TD's. So this may work and i guess RR might know what he's doing.

hey, at least he doesn't get tackled in the backfield on his highlight film! we'll take him!

I understand chasing outside wrs. Ricardo is a very nice pickup, and Williamson could develop into something if worm is right. Jackson is because of the dad on staff imo, but many schools have one of those.

I don't get the unending pursuit of slots, unless gallon/Fitzgerald's iffy academics will keep them from enrolling, despite reassuring optimism from some.

it is quite enjoyable, but I'll tell you two people who aren't enjoying this

it is hilarious beyond description watching tsun spiral into slot receiver oblivion, but if it goes on for too long the greatest rivalry in the history of sports will be a distant memory, that is something I won't enjoy seeing
Actually, the set up is there for another era (however tough to replicate), they just have to hire dantonio

I think another 50-50 series would be worth it just to see the reaction if mark were hired

from everything I've read, the challenge of beating a great opponent (or any challenge for that matter) is what drove Woody to be the man that he was, without a challenge to overcome I don't think Woody would have been very happy

so while Woody's passion was to crush tsun, I think he derived a much greater amount of pleasure out of crushing a great tsun team rather than a terrible one

If Woody was so concerned about "keeping Michigan great", then why did he purposely steer recruits (that he knew weren't going to commit Ohio State) to Notre Dame just to keep them away from Michigan? In fact, he did so to the point that he called himself "Notre Dame's greatest recruiter".

Trust me, while Woody motivated himself via challenges, he would not feel sorry for Michigan one iota.

Good news for Michigan......these bad boys are a lot cheaper than normal sized helmets. Plus...it's buy one and get one half off. You can buy 90 for the price of 67.5!

Ooooh I like those! They're small enough so that our players can hang them around their necks after we knock their blocks off!

Again, just so I can smile:

Tressel: "5'6"? 5'9"? Under 200lb?" An evil look comes over him: "WE GO TO BREAK YOU GIRLIE MEN!!!"

My hamster was pretty quick! He would run a 4.3 flat in his wheel all day!...can he play coach? He always wanted to be a Michigan Man...

It seems the position has already been filled in Ann Arbor... must be something in the water up there. Sorry Ham-let!
