I particularly find it amazing that he says he didn't fit in with any of his teammates, and then goes on to say he will miss his friends on the team.
I took that final statement as an obligatory remark that he said to ameliorate the impact of the initial statement. Note that his remarks ware more mellowed than those of Boren, whose statements were confrontational. AT least, that was my perception.

Give me a break -- you're generalizing what he said in an effort to discredit/attack the kid simply because you don't like what he had to say about the direction of the program. The two things you quoted are not as conflicting as you'd like to believe. I read it as him having some friends on the team, people that he really liked (likely pre-RR teammates, I'd imagine), but that things have changed with RR, who is bringing in guys that aren't in his crowd.

But RR is building a family atmosphere at scUM...........the Manson family.

I guess RR will draw the kind of kids he wants, and if that's a different kind of kid than what Carr recruited, then we'll just have to see how that affects the visage / perception of scUM football, if at all.

so if you don't fit in with a group you have to hate them all? i don't see anything about his statements that sound unreasonable.

Where did it say anything about the direction of the program? He said he didn't get along with the coaches and some of the players.

Whatever, good luck to the kid.

U-M will be 'tough to beat' in recruitment of Florida CB Tony Grimes | detnews.com | The Detroit News

Grimes also received a seal of approval from an old friend, who also is a Wolverine.
"I was with Vladimir (Emilien)," Grimes said of his time in Ann Arbor. "That's my boy. He told me one difference (at Michigan) is once you get there, you are not just a piece of meat, you are a part of the family. That's something I can believe because he didn't play none of his senior year after he tore his ACL, but they didn't just cut him off. They kept his offer and he committed there. "

And there have been multiple articles stating the "family values" in good light, from multiple players. The lastest from Vlad Emilien.
which started pouring in from scout right after Boren's comments. Not sure either came up naturally.

I understand a lot of you on here are going to be irrational when it comes to UM, but as goblue15 said, just because two players haven't fit in, now the entire structure at UM is f'ed up? There will also be players that just don't fit, which is why you see so many transfers every year from a lot of schools.
