I bet they are... Actually, I'm sure quite a few don't. The rivalry isn't the same, and that hurts the great history of the rivalry and the big ten. Unless a few other teams pick up the slack, the big ten won't have the same respect (pre 2006) that we're used to until UM and OSU are fighting for the championship every year. I think most fans from both sides are intelligent enough to know that.

Watched Talbott today. Great looking DT prospect... didn't get to see 1v1 work, but he's in excellent shape.

After the hype on GBW, I was expecting a lot more out of Greg Brown. He's about 5'9" 155-160, and was so-so when I watched. It didn't help that he often repped right before fellow 2011 DB Eric Robinson (who ripped off a 4.38 today). Haven't seen him with pads on though.

If Trotwood WR AJ Jordan can fill out a bit more, he will be a UM recruit. Showed well at camp today, smooth, sure-handed WR. Just very thin and had trouble with some of the press corners at camp.

I don't remember bringing up 2008, but okay. If you don't think UM was missing talent last year, check out the 2005 recruiting class. More specifically, the top 11 or 12 rated recruits in that class. Recognize many of those names? Not too many, right? Just taking a look at one name off that list, Antonio Bass. He would have been exciting to watch taking snaps for the offense in 2008. Man that kid had some serious athletic ability. Just sick.

Anyway, I don't think you can really judge a coach by what he does with another coaches players. Especially when the schemes are polar opposites. I think it's pretty standard to give a coach a few years with his players to prove himself.

Disagree completely.

The B10 will have respect again when OSU starts winning its OOC and Bowl games again. If OSU takes care of business against UF, LSU or USC lately then 80% of the B10 bashing you hear doesn't exist no matter what happens to UM.

Did any of the B10 bashing stop when you guys beat UF? No it did not. Did anyone notice the B10 went 2-1 against the SEC in 2006? No all they wanted to talk about was how bad the B10 was because OSU got killed by UF.

Like it or not OSU is the bell cow for the B10 right now. The B10 doesn't need a strong UM to improve its rep, it needs OSU to quit shitting the bed in the big games.

About 2-3 months ago, if not longer, yes. Since then, he's been domer bound and acknowledged as such.

Grimes appears to be still very much in play, despite reports that he was dropped.

Talent was why UM lost to ND, OSU, PSU, & ILL... particularly in the manner that they did. I guess Utah fits here, though UM still had more talent overall.

Talent was not a valid excuse for Toledo, Northwestern, Purdue or Michigan State. Even with Ringer, they still had about 1/3 of the talent of Michigan's roster, if not less.

I'll agree to that. Sounds fair enough.

You have to admit that UM did experience some major setbacks from players not panning out, either due to academics, or transfers.

All 4 star or higher...
6 of 11 in the 2005 class (1 DT)
3, arguably 4, of 11 in the 2006 class (1 LB)
3 of 7 in the 2007 class (1 LB)
and 4 already in the 2008 class (2 LBs)

This was just posted by TomVH on mgoblog about CBs:

I just heard last night that We're in good position with Tony Grimes. Good position meaning he's thinking of committing, just not sure when. Obviously this can change.
I asked Rashad Knight what he thought of Lo Wood's commitment to ND, and it ended by him saying that it just means there's more room for other players.....like himself.
Obviously we're still way way ahead for Cullen Christian.
