Not that it's a big deal, but how does a guy from PA become a New York Rangers, Chicago Bulls, Syracuse, Oakland, and Chi Sox fan? Oh, and Ohio State?

The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced today (Thursday, May 28) the signing of two non-conference football games for the 2010 season. The Wolverines will play host to the University of Massachusetts on Sept. 18, 2010, and Bowling Green State University on Sept. 25, 2010, on consecutive weeks at Michigan Stadium.

"We appreciate the efforts made by both UMass and Bowling Green to accept one-year contracts to play at the Big House," said Athletic Director Bill Martin. "The scheduling landscape is becoming more difficult and we discussed the open dates with a number of institutions and want to thank them for their time and effort during this process."

The one-game contracts complete three of the four non-conference games for the Wolverines. The 2010 opener on Sept. 4 has not been determined at this time.

"We are working hard to line up an opponent for the opening game in renovated Michigan Stadium," added Martin. "We hope to have an announcement in the near future."

This will be the first-ever meeting between Michigan and Massachusetts and the second time that the Wolverines face the Falcons. U-M defeated BGSU by a 42-7 score in the opener to the 2000 season.
apparently fcs schools are now a staple of UM football. :so:

I was at that game. I am one of the very few in my family NOT to attend BGSU (family of teachers, go figure) and was there as a college football fan and not to root for either team. Secretly I wanted the Falcons to pull off the upset, even though I KNEW scUM would pound them (because, you see, this was back when scUM could field a decent college football team, not a midget circus with the keystone cops for an offensive backfield).

Oh, so now I'm arrogant because the guy asked a stupid question, I replied with NO, and he read YES. Makes a ton of sense.

Michigan fan attempting to rationalize on an Ohio State board? No comprende, senior.

I love the '2009 TSUN News' thread because it allows me to read Michigan-related news without having to travel to the Scout board and deal with actual Michigan fans' delusions of grandeur.

This thread is for TSUN news and for OSU fans scoffing and laughing at said news. I appreciate your enthusiasm for your posts, but please do not pretend like we actually care.
