2009 British Open at Turnberry

I think the shot Watson wants back (other than the putt and the chip) is that 2nd shot on 18. He cooked that one a bit too much. If it hits as little as 5 feet shorter he stays on the green and is likely being interviewed right now.

to the point where you can't even watch if he's not in it? seems kind of lazy to me.

Lazy? You should have to work to watch golf? If you're not interested, you don't have to watch. Tiger is a big draw for a lot of people.

Right now, so is Tom Watson. If it had been Goggin vs. Cink right now, not very many people would care. And that's not because they are lazy.

Half the people who responded to that poll never heard of Tom Watson before Thursday.

(They are the same people who want a playoff in CFB.)

I would cheer for Watson over Woods and I would cheer for Woods over some no-name.

They've deserved that kind of following over their careers.

(Just as the BCS has deserved its critics)

I think he just had the 18 in him today and that was it.

That last putt on 18 just took whatever "oomph" he had and sucked it right out of him.

Damn that was a great run for him. 60 in September? You have to love golf!!
