Part of me is almost glad Watson didn't win. BB73 and the rest of the fogies would have been hard to live with if one of their AARP brothers won a major tournament. :wink2:
yeah , all those old fogies are hard to live with when something like that happens.

I was at the driving range today, and the place was basically shut down during the last 3 holes for the British Open. Everyone that was out there was inside watching the open.

Place went silent when he missed... will never forget that. Incredible moment, even though it wasn't the outcome I hoped for.

All I know is when working in the shop today I was flooded with "can you get those ADAMS irons and drivers?" then after the playoff it went to "so how much are those NIKE drivers going for?" LOL CONGRATS to Stew he deserved one after the miss hap in the US Open a few years ago. Watson played great for 71 holes and the you could see the exhaustion which is unfortunate. I applaud both of them for a great championship!!

PS How about next years venues for Majors: Augusta National Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, The Old Couse at St. Andrews, and Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin!! 4 GREAT COURSES!

I know alot of fogies and AARP Bretheren can still hit the ball with consistency alot better than some of the juniors out there. Yeah alot of the younger guys can really hit that driver along ways, but from 90 or 80 yards out it takes them 4 to get on the green? Watsons 2nd shot to 18 looked as if it was going to hold the green but from the fringe i knew it was going to be tough to get it close, Ive been in his shoes many times. Ya just had to know his heart was pounding alot faster then. I know i am a fogie but I still love the game and it keeps me going for another day. Someday Jaxbuck will be with us - were waiting for ya my friend
