Div II Transfers

So, tSUN QB job is open and it looks like a walk on is going to win it. With their new depth at offensive line he might not live through the season. Is it possible for a div-II QB to jump up and play right away? If there was only some div-II school that ran the spread and had tSUN quality players, like APP. State, they could get a shot at the big time in the Big House....

I have no idea if NCAA rules would allow this to happen but, why would Armanti Edwards want to go to Michigan and win a handful of games when he can win another title at App St.

/sarcasm on - Because he will be the only quarterback with experience winning in the Big House. /sarcasm off

Man, I need work on my sarcasm font. Thanks for adding the name. A JUCO or DIV-II transfer should be better than a freshman walk on. It's a basketball solution to bring in a verteran point guard to help run an offense. I am just relishing in the fact that tSUN is so low that this option makes sense. Besides, I just love saying Appalachian State and Michigan in the same sentance. It makes me smile

They have Dick Wad, Barwis and the defense is going to be as good as the '85 Bears. They don't need an offense. Oh yeah Trent is going to be an AA and was better than Malcom Jenkins last year.

Just ask them they'll tell you.

Michigan considers 2-QB system

Posted: Friday April 04, 2008 10:12AM ET

There's no clear-cut leader in the Michigan quarterback race as spring practice nears its end. There may not have to be a single winner, though. Coach Rich Rodriguez didn't dismiss the possibility of playing two quarterbacks next season, as long as both provide an equal chance at victory. "If you have two quarterbacks that are good enough to win with, then you play them both," Rodriguez said following Thursday's practice. "If I have one that's good enough to win with, I'll only play one."

Wouldn't suprise me. I'd think Threet would be the best choice, I've read he ran a version of the spread in HS and he was a fairly well regarded recruit when he signed with GT, but this would lead one to believe that no one has been really stepping up. I've also read that Sheridan (the former walk-on) has looked the best. The only option they have that would seem to be a good fit for DickRod's version of the spread would be incoming frosh Justin Feagin who was a 2* that scout said projects as a safety in college.

Should be interesting to watch if nothing else.

This is the fourth in a series of short reports examining some of college football's spring story lines. Today: Ohio State vs. Michigan, a rivalry, or what's left of one.

Buckeyes Coach Tressel has dominated the Wolverines.

The article that NF posted above states that TSUN will have a Spring Game on April 12th at Saline High, but it will be closed to the public.

It also said that practicing indoors all the time was hardest on special teams, and that most of Zoltan Mesko's punts were hitting the ceiling.
