Last chance

Back in the first week of August, three Michigan seniors enumerated their goals for the upcoming season:
Bring home a National Championship.

Hoist a Big Ten Championship Trophy.

Beat Ohio State.

Oh, and win their bowl game.

So far, the seniors are 0-3 - the same as their career bowl record.

And now, the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1 is unranked Michigan's last chance to salvage any of those preseason goals.

Well, those three seniors are going down 0-3, I don't see any way they are beating Florida.

Mobile quarterback?
In Florida?
Plus, they suck this year.

Sorry tsun fans, I would love to see the Big-10 get that victory, but I don't think it's happening.

scUM has to hope for a shootout with many UF mistakes. With Hart and Henne healty, and with more time for the OL to gel and get healthy, maybe we'll see the offense that the skunk-bears were supposed to sport this year.

Unfortunately unless UF comes in very flat (or fat and happy from the Heisman trail) I think it will take UF mistakes to keep this game close. We all know scUMs inneptitude when it comes to defending the spread against teams with much less talent than UF. With Tebow running and slinging it and with Harvin being a nightmare this could be a huge black eye for the conference.

Maybe Tim Tebow will pull a TS and show up a little overweight and quite lethargic.

Word is Ryan Mallett is very unhappy on campus and is pondering his future with the Wolverines and may be thinking about a transfer to Arkansas.

Apparently he isn't very well liked by his teammates and he doesn't like them. He isn't too happy about the situation with the whole coaching search.

Heard it on the radio.

.
I think that is because he blames the coaches for ruining his passing talent and wants to see if he can get it back.

"Word is Ryan Mallett is very unhappy on campus and is pondering his future with the Wolverines and may be thinking about a transfer to Arkansas. "

I heard that he knows he must get his 40 time down to play in the NFL and transferring to an SEC school would immediately take 2-3 tenths off his time

Are you sure the radio guy wasn't talking about past moments of reported indecision on Mallett's part?

I ask as the Arkansas destination and reputed unhappiness are eerily similar to rumors that were floated in April of this year.

This was the mgoblog piece at or around that time - I know they are preoccupied in AA, but no current rumor posting on mgoblog about a radio piece about a possible Mallett transfer speaks volumes with silence to me.
