2007 tOSU Defense

The defense doesn't worry me this weekend. The offense needs to avoid turnovers and we will roll. This defense is NASTY! I can't wait to see Locker picking sod out of his helmet after getting his ass handed to him by Vernon. (assuming UW doesn't have turf:biggrin:)

Offense should try to match the Defense

This defense is a HUNTER. The second half against Akron was the return of Heacock at his best and trusting his talent and secondary. I hope we see this all year and the silver bullets are cut loose to do their thing. I love it. Now the offense needs to do some Troy Smith HUNTING. Boeckman and company need to attack on offense and make opposing defenses worry. Go Bucks

either that or he can just get a concussion for all i care. i don't wish for anyone to get hurt, i'm just saying i want to see the defense make an early statement to show him that we aren't BSU or Syracuse. An early blitz or two should do the trick. A sack on the first series would be awesome.

My only worry with all the attention given to big hits and emotion is that we may go out there and forget to wrap up and tackle. You lay the wood to them when you have the opportunity, but if that's all you're looking to do, you'll give up big plays. You don't have to make a statement on every play. Blast them a couple of times and you've made your point. The rest of the time, WRAP THE HELL UP! [Jumps off of soapbox, twists ankle and falls into heap like a kick returner hammered by Brian Rolle and cries like a vulvarine]

Because I'm a glutton for punishment, and a rubbernecker that enjoys a good car wreck, I went over to the UW Scout board. Somebody posted over there that Charles Davis (called the Akron game) stated on the NFL Network's College Show on Wednesday that this OSU defense might be the fastest he's ever seen in college.

Anyone see/know/hear this broadcast?

I's gots no dish, and when I called Time Warner to get the NFL Network, they said No Soup For You!

I saw that too(tho on the tOSU board). It certainly sounds true after listening to him during the Akron game. He seemed thoroughly impressed.

For fans of a team who hasn't had a winning season since 2002, they sure are arrogant and overbearing. The irony is they are obsessively consumed with hatred towards ND, but they act just like them!

Granted, I check in to a couple of their boards last Sunday, and not since, but I found their boards to be most unlke what I expected.... and which you describe.

Back only a few years ago, and especially on Yahoo's College Board, those guys were possibly the worst..... followed closely by Miami and OU fans.
