did u watch them this weekend?

They've looked great and I believe that the have improved. BUT..........Who have we played? If you put the 3 of our opponents together (last years records) - how many fewer DI games did they win than the Bucks? Again, not saying that we havent looked awesome. IMO we need to slow down a little bit where these guys will fit when compared to other units of the past.

yes. by the end of the year, wait till u watch us. this buckeye team should get better ever week and peak just in time for scUM. I don't care if UF looks 100x better than Miami did in 2002, i would love nothing more than to enter the rose bowl as an underdog and win the NC a year early.

that would be fantastic. if the tables were turned and the whole world was against us, who's to say we couldn't flip the script? i watched florida's game against tennessee though and they are NASTY!

I know. Thats why i'm saying at this point i'd rather wait and see how we perform against teams that are even remotely close to the gators (as far as talent) before we play them again.

Again, I'm not arguing that we've looked damn good. It's just I want to see us against a DI team who was better than .500 last year. I'm very optimistic at this point. The problem is that I was very optimistic last January too

I do agree that we appear to be much better overall tho. So far- so good!

the way you posted, it sounded like you were trying to argue with me. i guess we're on the same page. as of now, there is now way we hang with FLA.

That's a load of crap.

I agree.

Not to say we would win that game for sure, but we'd be in it from gun to gun. I'll wait to judge Florida when they play LSU or South Carolina. Teams haven't really pressed them defensively yet so lets see how they react when it happens. Granted, talent wise they look every bit as good as last season early on but it was late games last year that made them look less dominant as well. Its week 4 and we can prognosticate 'cause its fun but I wouldn't say there's any team in the country that can just walk on us. Remember we tend to play up or down to our competition.

Great job by the defence today. However, NW without Sutton is like a high school team without their star. Nonetheless, the discipline and enthusiasm the defense played with today makes me think the defense will be great all season long (not to mention next season).

COLUMBUS The collisions were cringe-inducing Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

They also were one-sided, with Ohio State's defense on the giving end and Northwestern on the receiving end.

"With the way our defense plays, it's hard not to have swagger," senior right tackle Kirk Barton said after his team's 58-7 Big Ten-opening victory.

tOSU is third in scoring defense at 7.25/game (LSU and Kansas are at 5.75). Without the kickoff return TD, the team would lead in scoring defense.

tOSU is second in total defense at 177.75/game (LSU is at 161.5, Rutgers is 3rd at 215.25.
