And if you look in the stat thread you'll see that we have our Differential Rushing Defense ranking back. After the last 3 years, it pisses me off when we go without the top-ranking in that stat for even 1 week. That #1 ranking in DRD belongs to the Buckeyes, dammit!

2ND HALF ADJUSTIMENTS

Is it just me or does it seem like we have a killer defensive gameplan 95% of the time. But in the games we are getting run over in the 1st half, via the pass or run, we make no adjustments? It's almost as if we decide we WILL do X on defense and if our athletes don't execute, we'll execute better in the 2nd half.
Obviously I'm referring to UF and Illinois. I just haven't seen any analysis regarding our inability to adjust to a superior gameplan. Nor have I seen any adjustments.

Two games in two seasons. Granted, losing to Florida and the Illini was painful to watch, but the defensive coaching staff at Ohio State is pretty darn good. I've witnessed superior adjustments by the staff in twenty-plus other games over a two year span, so I wouldn't lose faith just yet. I am quite confident that Heacock and staff will put a pretty good product on the field on January 7.
