Jenkins was right about the lack of big mo'fo'in hits last year.

What were the top 5, in your opinion?

Hartline's hit on Thigpen
JRich's hit on McCoy (called for roughing)
I'm sure one of Jenkin's TFL was a monster one...
Roy Hall had one on special teams (The guy got injured... That was sad)

I actually can't think of many that made me get on my feet...

Antonio Smith had a nasty hit in the Indiana game and Laurinaitis blew up a scUM receiver.

One thing I noticed that I've been liking is the emotion. Players get up excited after a big play or even just a normal stop. While I'm not a fan of taunting or players that play on all emotion and therefore make a lot of mistakes, I do like players who seem to love to play. That's really ever been my only complaint is when they come out and seem complacent to just be sound and play the bend but don't break game. Now lets just see them learn how to catch the ball while pumped up and I think we have one of those dangerous defenses out there.

How can you guarantee that?

When did tOSU suddenly become the underdog?

When did Washington suddenly become a juggernaut?

January 8th shook up some confidence...I understand that, but damn, tOSU is still a top tier football program.

We are going to the other coast to whip somebody's ass.

Piss on all of this sudden doubt. I'll start worrying when the sky actually does hit me in the damn head.

Until then, Go Bucks.

:oh:

:io:

And that gets a GPA!

Agreed, I love the energy these guys show out there, and feed off of one another. Jenkins has enough energy for an entire team.

It seems to be the popular thing right now to bash Ohio State along with Michigan.
I guess we'll just have to whip a few asses to change that thought!
You keep saying this with regard to this game, I'm not sure why. No one here projects UM's decade long ineptitude against the spread to OSU, who is rarely outmatched and appreciably better than last year (thanks largely to the secondary). You also seem highly driven to make everyone wary of Washington. They present a good challenge, but not nearly what our defense will present to their young QB. They have to do more than beat an abysmal Cuse team and mid-major Cinderella before I will truly worry. Until then, it is they that must worry about OSU.

Of course anything can happen, and their QB is as talented as almost any... but OSU plays big boy football, where dangerous teams loom all over the schedule (Ill, Purdue, Wisc, UM, even MSU).

I live in the middle of SEC country and everyone is dogging the Buckeyes. In Alabama it sucks talking to the Alabama and Auburn fans about college football. They obviously know nothing about other conferences and talk shit about how great the SEC is. Some guys were talking smack today about how the Buckeyes suck and how Washington was gonna beat us. Then they talked shit about the B10.

I told them that neither Alabama nor Auburn has done shit in the last 10 years comapred to the Buckeyes, then I told them the B10 has at least a 50% winning % against them in bowl games since 2000,then I asked them how does Florida beating us gives them the right to brag since they both went to tin foil bowls, and I told them either nut up or shut up because nobody outside their conference cares how tough their conference is and if they didn't like it get the hell outbecause we are tired of their f'in whining we are not scared of their football teams. I told them if they had balls big enough join the B10 because we need another team(I mentioned they probably couldn't make it academically and the didn't like that)and after that they SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

Facts are facts...OSU is on top of the CFB world and until we slide the rest of these weasels can just sit there and be jealous. They are waing for us to fall on our faces but IMO they are in for a heck of a suprise...I had to vent fellas!!! I'm living in college football hell.

GO BUCKS KICK WASHINGTONS BUTT!!!

Some times perception over rides reality.
The perception is we shouldn't have been on the same field with Florida.
We know different, but it will take a bowl win over an SEC team to start people giving back respect.
We created this situation by blowing the BCS.
Now, we just have to live with the consequences.

We need to make a statement on defense against Washington. I don't know if this is realistic but I would love for us to keep them under 200 yards of total offense. I think Locker has played 2 cupcake defenses and I am hoping that he tries to be a gunslinger. I think we can get some turnover from our secondary. I think out linebackers and DL are licking their chops at the prospect of shutting down Washingtons running game and locker

cupcake defenses would be an understatement for their first two games.... I remember reading somewhere that UW's score against Boise wasn't as close as it seemed... Well I didn't get to see the game so I can't comment on it but what I can comment on is that Boise turned the ball over 4 times and outgained UW 388 to 342. Now Boise is not known for shut down defense but they managed to hold UW to 342 yards for 24 points (14 of those points coming off horrible tackling on a long pass and a trick play). Sure those plays still count and congradulations to them but Akron tried the half back pass and it didn't work, and tackling a 230 pound Reciever is tough but if a team can do it our's is the one.

You can put Washington on their 230 Reciever and whoever the other reciever is he's going to be a non factor because Jenkins IS THE BEST in the nation. There's no debate he IS the best, he's physical, he can run, and his ball skills are uncanny.

This team reminds me of a Texas but with less weapons everywhere. Their running backs aren't game breakers, the Recievers won't be running by us, and their offensive line won't be the best we'll face this year. The only hope they have is Locker plays out of his mind, and he'll have his moments running the ball but he will not be doing both on saturday. If our defense comes out and comes after the young QB we will have him rattled.

The only thing tosu can't do is come out and be ultra conservative on offense. We cannot let that UW defense feel like they can hang with us, and that kind of has me worried because you know we'll be conservative. I just hope we come out and attack them on offense and let them know YES, we have a young QB, but we will attack you!

Gosh I'm excited and pumped for this game now
