The strip by Jamo shows that he has improved. He attacked and was fundamentally sound on that strip. IMO he has gooten better. Nobody is talking about Chekwa. My goodness this kid is a heck of a player AND HE IS OUR 3RD CB!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME. There are planty of teams that would love to have Chekwa as their lockdown corner(cough*Michigan cough*). Arron Gant is not chopped liver. Thats kid can hit.

Ohio State defense looks to return to big hitters

Columbus- When defensive coordinator Jim Heacock tried to show his players a highlight DVD of the biggest hits of Ohio State's undefeated 2006 regular season, he didn't have enough hits to make it worth watching.
"We only had about five of them," cornerback Malcolm Jenkins said.

That is the most hope-inspiring story I've seen about the Buckeyes in a long time; even more-so than the stories last summer about Troy and his penchant for film study. I've been around too long to be certain that the attitude depicted in this story will translate to the field of play, but if it does this season has more potential than I previously believed.

I think this is partly true. However, I believe the main reason we did not see a lot of throws is because the front seven put such phenomenal pressure on the QB's that they had no time to throw the ball, and when they did, it was short passes.
Not to be a negative Nancy, but that is what scares me about this defense. Reminds me a lot of the 2006 scUM defense. I would like nothing better than to be proved wrong though.

The secondary is too good and the defense is too deep to be anything like the 2006 Michigan defense. Donald Washington might not be as physical as some would like but he can cover WR's like a glove. If Donald gets more physical in the next two seasons he will be a first rounder.

They better "bring it" against the Huskies Saturday, because I can guarantee you that the Huskies will bring it!

How can you guarantee that?

When did tOSU suddenly become the underdog?

When did Washington suddenly become a juggernaut?

January 8th shook up some confidence...I understand that, but damn, tOSU is still a top tier football program.

We are going to the other coast to whip somebody's ass.

Piss on all of this sudden doubt. I'll start worrying when the sky actually does hit me in the damn head.

Until then, Go Bucks.

:oh:

Jenkins was right about the lack of big mo'fo'in hits last year.

What were the top 5, in your opinion?

Hartline's hit on Thigpen
JRich's hit on McCoy (called for roughing)
I'm sure one of Jenkin's TFL was a monster one...
Roy Hall had one on special teams (The guy got injured... That was sad)

I actually can't think of many that made me get on my feet...
