I was pleasantly surprised that the Coaches Poll had us at #7 after the loss against the Illini.


The lack of consensus about who is number one is striking ..

Looks like most Polls have us 7th. That's not a bad spot to be in as there are 3 Big 12 teams in front of us. And they will have a conference championship game that will elimate possibily 2 ahead of us.
Just win, baby!

Only one poll has been updated.
We may end up lower in other polls.

tellshow had us at 8th in the BCS, predicated in part on a projected 8 rank in the Coaches poll. Even with a 7th place finish that still leaves the Buckeyes firmly in 8th place, should the remainder of tellshow's projection remain on target.

Call me crazy but I think there is a lot of season left and anything can happen...we can still make it to the nc game....Mizzou and Kansas Play...then one of them will have to play Oklahoma in the Big 12 game....And OU still plays Ok state...Oregon is on the road 2 times before their rivalry...and LSU still has Arkansas and most likely UGA..oh and WVU has Cinn and Uconn...I still believe :oh:

The problem is that you have to hope at least one Big12 team suffers a loss before the MU/KU/OU showdowns. If they win out going into that mini tournament, that guarantees one team will win out with a top 10 victory or two. That means every other team would have to lose or be jumped by OSU.

It's not gonna happen folks, it would be great if it did but it wont... its ok, we might get as high as 3rd in the final standings...
one of OU, Mizzu, or KU will be ahead of us.. just one.. but thats still one...
WVU will lose.. that puts us at 4th.
LSU OR Oregon MIGHT lose... not both.. we just aren't that lucky..

We can still finish 12-1 with wins over scUM and a win in the Rose Bowl, possibly a final ranking of #2... thats not too bad if you look back where we were to start the season.
