Well, one team in this game has a right to feel disrespected and "jobbed" by the CFP Committee. I am a bit surprised that there is so much disrespect for that three game run. Ohio State has had some flaws exposed, but it also has had time to address these. All year long, we have heard how no team in college football has better people on both sides of the ball than Ohio State. Now, all we hear is how they don't compare. I would be very wary of a team being disrespected like that.

When I look at teams and players I fear the most, it is Lawrence. I agree with you he has the Wide outs to make him look good, but the guy has an absolute cannon, way stronger than Joes arm. He also runs better than Joe. Trust me, I love Joe, but I fear Lawrence way more than Joe. He dismantled Bama last year. Do not let the lack of tough teams on the schedule deceive you. The guy can make throws that no one else in college football can make including Joe, no one. I have watched him. He started slow, but he is peaking right now at the top of his game. I don't think anyone would argue that he has more raw QB talent than anyone else in the country, and the last four games he is clicking on all cylinders. Add incredible Wide outs and Etienne and this offense is frightening. LSU, not so much.

I agree with just about all you said except the running aspect. I think Joe is a better runner than Lawrence. Not sure about top end 40 speed, but Joe is plenty effective and lowers his shoulder and runs through guys to pick up the necessary yards to keep moving the chains. Not sure if Lawrence gives you that. And not sure if Clemson wants Lawrence to do that. That seems to be a part of LSU's offense, whether right or wrong. All four teams run the risk of a meltdown if their starter QB's go down.

Hopefully, they'll have that Oregon WTF loss of confidence when it's apparent that we can run with them step for step AND punch them in the mouth when we get there. I'm not sure that I've ever seen a team deflate physically and mentally as the Ducks did when it dawned on them that they weren't faster than us and they weren't going to up-tempo us into exhaustion.

Talking about 2010 or 2015 here? 8D

It will be interesting to see if our ‘being tested’ works to our favor or not. On one hand, we’ve seen competition much closer to that of Clemson. On the other hand, playing tough competition can expose a few weaknesses - we haven’t gotten to see those weaknesses exposed in Clemson (the UNC game is meaningless at this point imo).

I think we needed the better competition to get Fields ready, so I’m glad we played those teams. Lawrence has seen that level, so their schedule worked in their favor.

Can’t wait to see if we’re at NC level. I think we are, but 2016 still lingers.

I don't really even think we have shown "flaws". We were missing a huge piece to our secondary, Wade cannot be replaced easily at the level he plays. He is a future Pro. I totally expected a little bit of a let down in the B1G game vs Wisky. Three emotional plus physical contests in a row will do that to any team.

The only issue I have seen is that Chase has been slowed some the last three games. That gives Clemson a blue print. The other guys have to step up if Chase is going to get taken out by two and three guys.

I'm with you...that Clemson offense is the best we've seen all year. And I am far from banking on a win. But I do think this team is going to whip their ass regardless. I think Lawrence's jersey is going to be the dirtiest he's ever seen. Young & Co. are going to wreck his world on the 28th and that will be the difference despite how good that offense is.

The teams Clemson has faced aren’t just bad, they’re horrid. If Justin Fields plays like Bryce Perkins (ie having literally all day to pass while missing wide open WRs) then we’re in trouble. If Justin Fields plays like Justin Fields, they’re in big trouble.

That defense is soft on a national level this year. Their guys will get torched if they give Fields and these WRs that kind of time. Not to mention I see no reason why Dobbins can’t have a monster of a night.

Expect them to blitz often, as it’s pretty much the only thing they can hope to do to slow this Buckeye offense down.

Wisconsin >>>> Clemson this year.

Get off my lawn.
