Game Thread #1 Texas at #2/#3 tOSU, Sat. Aug. 30th, 12pm ET, FOX

I'd say Herschel Walker may have been the best that I've seen. Burrow had one great year; but Herschel had 3.

In college for the University of Georgia from 1980-1982, Herschel Walker's stats include 5,259 rushing yards, 1,616 (freshman), 1,891 (sophomore), and 1,752 (junior), along with 55 total touchdowns over 33 games. He was a three-time consensus All-American, won the 1982 Heisman Trophy, and led Georgia to a national title and three consecutive conference championships.
As much as it pains me to say it, I'd have to go Reggie Bush. He was just on another level.

I keep seeing all these excuses on social media about Manning playing in Columbus for his first start.

Pre Game: “Texas has too much fire power with Arch and this team. Ohio State has lost too much.”

Post-Gane: “It was a loaded Ohio State team in Columbus.”

And wasn’t it his 3rd start?

Dunno if we made it tougher or easier on the Browns today
cuz Arch ain't comin to the NFL in next years draft

I’ve not read through the game thread and have zero interest in doing so… so if this is a SIAP sitch… my bad… but I completely agree. He seem ed slow to process and his accuracy wasn’t exactly great. I hesitate to make such a statement as it was game 1 for him… and not in an easy place to play. But with a lot (most?) greats at the QB position, you can see the ceiling potential. I saw a high floor but not an exceptionally high ceiling either.

For two years he had the benefit of being of his name and being the most popular guy on campus (QB2)… I think that by the time he is done at UT people will speak of him in the same tones as they talk about Quinn. Good but not living up to the hype.
