That's OK! The 100+ student athletes that were there via THE Ohio State's invite got to see and hear everything! Who wouldn't want to play in front of that crowd?I watched some highlights and the crowd was ten times louder there than on TV. No clue what the fuck Fox's sound crews were doing.
"other" boards?I've been reading other OSU message boards and it feels like this is the first time in years OSU fans aren't nitpicking a win to death. General consensus is that OSU has some things to clean up but it was a hell of a win and everyone is mostly happy. Guess a natty really does restore perspective lol.
I’ve been trying to talk sense into people about Arch since he signed with UT. The most jarring thing to me was that he was in one of the smallest divisions in LA and didn’t dominate. He was quite average and never got past the 2nd round of the playoffs and was blown out every loss. 5star #1 QB hardly ever get blown out the way he did, and have games where he can’t even get 100yds. He’s a solid QB at the HS level, but I honestly wouldn’t even put him at Ewers’ level. And im Sure the high level talent at Texas will bail him out of a lot of situations. But I doubt his arm and legs will lead UT to a title and that’s what they expect from him. He has unimaginable pressure, and he’s a very nice kid and I feel bad for the amount of vitriol he’s going to get this week. And it’s all due to pressure from his last name which he can’t helpI’ve not read through the game thread and have zero interest in doing so… so if this is a SIAP sitch… my bad… but I completely agree. He seem ed slow to process and his accuracy wasn’t exactly great. I hesitate to make such a statement as it was game 1 for him… and not in an easy place to play. But with a lot (most?) greats at the QB position, you can see the ceiling potential. I saw a high floor but not an exceptionally high ceiling either.
For two years he had the benefit of being of his name and being the most popular guy on campus (QB2)… I think that by the time he is done at UT people will speak of him in the same tones as they talk about Quinn. Good but not living up to the hype.
As soon as I read that the captains told Ryan Day to take down all the 2024 championship stuff because that was last year, and this team hasn't won anything yet, I knew this team was in good hands. No matter who the coordinator is, the culture on defense is exactly what you're looking for
You can't fix stupid...

Great write-up. How were the new Gameday atmosphere changes?Went to the game. Observations:
1. Ohio State is breaking in a new OC, a new DC, new QB, 2 new RBs, Lord knows how many OL and DL. Breaking in so many guys is going to require some patience.
2. Sayin was a cool customer. Not world-beating numbers, but did enough to win. Impressive for a redshirt Freshman in his first start vs the #1 team in the country.
3. Running game needs work, mostly because of the oline. Passing pro was very good.
4. Drops from Smith and Klare are concerning, but not pushing the panic button yet.
5. Texas fans represented well. No problems with any of them.
6. It was the loudest I've heard our fans be since #1 OSU vs #2 dUMb.
