'08 OH SF Delvon Roe (Michigan State Signee)

Why would Roe delay announcing unless he is waiting for something? If he was set in any one school at this point he would have committed. The only thing for sure is that he has not verbally committed to anyone.

He will most likely be 1 n done so he will want to go wherever he thinks he can win the tournament in 2009. By then UNC will most likely lose the top kids in the 2006 class as will Ohio State. But with our class of 2007 which UNC has none, that could be the difference.

maybe like I said, Crater and he had a love connection.

Roe 1 n done?

Trust me when I say that it will be us and UNC rivaling for the top class in the nation in 08' as they are in on some big time targets...

Oh Well It was Fun To Imagine but...

Roe, a 5-star basketball recruit, decides between MSU and UNC

Five-star basketball recruit, Delvon Roe, has finally decided whether he'll play for Roy Williams or Tom Izzo. But he won't say until Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
April 10, Cleveland.com: St. Edward junior Delvon Roe made his decision on Monday night where to play men's college basketball. His choice between North Carolina and Michigan State, though, won't be made public for another week.

"Yes, I have made a decision," said Roe, The Plain Dealer's seven-county Player of the Year. "There will be a press conference next week."

Roe and his parents, Delvon and Tracy Blanton, met with St. Edward coach Eric Flannery at the private school in Lakewood on Monday night. It was there the Parade Magazine All-America forward made the choice between North Carolina and Michigan State. He said he was about to call North Carolina coach Roy Williams and Michigan State coach Tom Izzo to inform them of his decision.

Wow. If Conley, Oden, and Cook are truly gone. Then maybe we are back into the picture. I'm not getting my hopes up, but if the reports are true-maybe Matta was able to get back into the game with Roe before it was too late.

I'm still not getting my hopes up though.

It probably all boils down to whether Matta keeps Coca-Cola or Pepsi in his office because Roy keeps Coke ever since his mother gave him that dime.

Roe's "official" announcement to scuMSU will be about as anticlimactic as when Greg and Mike "formally" announced TOSU. Their's was not a real big secret at the end, nor is Roe's. He's "green" all the way.

I just heard a radio interview with Delvon. He said that in choosing between MSU and UNC, MSU was a better fit for him and MSU (3 hrs from Cleveland) is much closer to home than UNC (11 hrs from Cleveland). He had great things to say about both programs. Seems like a great kid. Best of luck to him.

EDIT: In case anyone was wondering, there was no talk of tOSU during the interview.
