fascinating how UM invited the seniors to discuss JT's captaincy. i strongly felt it was in play thinking it was just too much pressure on a sophomore to handle. love the move, he not only did not pull the rug out from under the seniors, he probably bought a ton of respect from them. and going forward, JT knows they stood up for him. now that's a beautiful win-win.
Thanks. I'm glad to be home. Just one more reminder that when people are in an accident, they should never tell anyone they are OK on the scene. It often takes a few hours, or a day, for the effects to reveal themselves.
Black is nothing new Presented an idea for black apparel over five years ago and the equipment manager at the time (I think his name was Lachey) scoffed at the idea. Said tOSU was a "traditional" school and they'd never follow the path of Oregon and other schools with new and innovative designs. Hahaha! I knew it would happen. I can't wait to see my Buckeyes in daunting, intimidating, black uniforms. I love it!
On the helmet instead of Buckeye leaves we proposed a "Woody" sticker. It was a nice likeness of Woody Hayes. I think that would have looked good on the "Block O" helmet. What do you think?
I like the uniform design, but I don't like the idea of the Woody helmet sticker - Woody is big, but the program is bigger than Woody. Maybe on a tee shirt or cap, but not as part of the uniform.
I think you need to see the sticker. It was small. Just as small as the Buckeye leaves. Keep the leaves on silver bullet but the black helmets need something a little different.
When I was at Hoban, they threw an All-state WR out of the school because they thought he was too big for his britches.. sucked because he was one of my closest friends
Hey man, I have a tailgating lot question. One of my buddies is hosting a pregame party over in the rv lots west of Fred Taylor. I have a media pass and a Tuttle garage parking pass for the game.
Doing well. She just got a new job that she loves and things are going well with my photo stuff. Glad to see you around these parts. Do you miss doing the OSU parking & the perks that came with it?
In your zeal to combat my opinion you failed to notice the part about wearing jerseys for a team 'you did not play for'. Eddie and Archie earned the right to wear their jerseys anytime they choose. It's a little different when it's Bob from marketing sporting #45.
I freely admit that my opinion is unpopular among the masses, but it is one formed by being a Marine (earned the title blah blah blah) and having played college football (which gives you a very different perspective of the average 'fan').
I'm certainly not arguing that fans should be prohibited from wearing jerseys. Just explaining why some take a dim view to the practice. (With the usual over the top spin to piss off the mouth breathers.)
Gotcha. And I respect your opinion. And I have am the son of college football and NFL player. He had a mixed view on the practice. I do it to show my support, and in no way am I trying to be like a player, but I do know that some are. We can agree to disagree, as at the end of the day were still rooting for the same team, just wearing different gear
