Anyhow, Hugh & Fay's son-in-law and daughter now own Cometic Gaskets which is located in Concord and they are in the money. Their names are Bob and Bindy Gorman. Their house backs up to Little Mountain golf course. I could go on and on for quite some time but I guess I will wrap it up for now.

I have always thought that you were a fine fellow. You have never come across brash or insensitive. However, there are a few on here that do.

With that being said, before I forget, I will never forget our Sunday journeys to Painesville and our stop by the way back at the Isaly's ice cream shop on the square.
My wife's sister and brother-in-law moved to Mentor from the Steubenville area in the early 50s. His last name is Taylor and he taught shop at Mentor high school for quite some time. Low-key guy but extremely nice. My wife had another sister who initially taught at Painesville or Fairport Harbor and later moved onto Willoughby South. Her name was Thelma Hill. She probably taught history. Extremely intelligent.

Hey Litl,

Wondering if I might know some of your wifes relatives. I was actually born and raised in "Concord" grew up in the vicinity of the Lake County Fairgrounds. Later moved to the "City" and for the past 10 years have resided in eastern Painesville Township. Throughout the years I've met and encountered literally thousands of folks in the Concord area as not only as a neighbor but a Recreation Counselor and Little League Coach (GOD I'm starting to sound like Sandusky!!) as well as a salesman in the area.

Throw me some names. I know I come across sometimes as a brash and insensitive idiot, but "Dubs" and I are actually quite different people. I'm a happpily married father of 2 great kids and in a "prior" life word as a Child Abuse Investigator for 10 years. It would be cool to find out if I know any of your wifes relatives, and I promise that if I actually do know them, and think they are "douchebags" I'll be nice anyway!

Born on the East side by John Adams. Familiar with your area. Got away from John Adams neighborhood at a young age for obvious reasons. Attended Rhodes. Played Ignatius all the time. Beat them in football when I was a freshman:) The powers back in the day were Benedictine and Latin. Both recruited heavily and Ignatius started doing the same a little later.

Grandson played in tennis match a couple weeks ago at Ohio Wesleyan. Won the back draw and the Battling Bishop tennis coach asked him if he had "committed" to play anywhere. Sorry can't help your alma mater:)
