The Schott Forum (R.I.P.) Roll Call

I have no idea what the first post in this forum is about and I have no idea about the title of this thread.

Having said that, it is a terrible idea to put a basketball floor over a one used for ice hockey. Speaking of ways to ruin a basketball season for a team all you have to do is look at last night when Wesson slipped and almost injured his knee. That is the type of situation that I do not want to see even if it is a player on another team. Need to go back to St. John

Deadly snake found in bathroom vanity

brown-snake-vanity-1.jpg

Imagine the horror when you open your bathroom vanity to discover… a deadly snake hiding in the top drawer.

Pity then the poor person in Australia who found an eastern brown snake lurking in their bathroom.

The eastern brown snake is widespread throughout eastern Australia, according to the Australian Museum, which notes that the snake has particularly potent venom.

“The venom contains powerful presynaptic neurotoxins, procoagulants, cardiotoxins and nephrotoxins, and successful envenomation can result in progressive paralysis and uncontrollable bleeding,” it explains on its website. “Occasional fatalities have occurred as a result of bleeding into the brain due to coagulation disturbances.

“This species has the unfortunate distinction of causing more deaths from snake bite than any other species of snake in Australia,” the Australian Museum added.

Ruiz vs. Joshua II - Clash on the Dunes

Reminds me of the only time I went to see boxing live. An undercard bout was a scheduled eight rounder between two well conditioned, competitive, and proficient but not elite light heavyweights. They were putting on a very evenly matched and well-paced bout for a few rounds and then the one just caught the other with a bomb and turned out the lights.

#2 The Ohio State University @ Minnesota, Sunday, Dec 15 @ 6:30 PM, BTN

Not worried at all. This team had a week off and it showed. Not having Washington out there hurt but this team did not come to play and simply got outplayed. Hell, Kaleb looked like the Kaleb from the previous two years. One thing that I like is two of our freshman played very well. D.J. and E.J. are the reasons this game wasn't a complete blow out.

I'm with you. Just a really off night, this team will be fine. Disappointing loss, but it's a long season. Regroup and return to dominance.

2019 Heisman race

i never thought i would see the day that an LSU player would win this thing.

and then to have someone like Joe who does it with such class, makes it even better.

When Mathieu was invited, we all knew he wasn’t winning it. And let’s face it, he had some baggage with him that we all feared would catch up one day.

then Fournette was phenomenal, but never showed up in biggest games so never made it to New York.

and then there is Joe. This kid is cut from a different cloth.
First you can tell he was raised the right way.

and then that he had to struggle to get to this point wasn’t lost on him. And to see true appreciation for those who have helped along the way is something special as well.
not gonna lie. I shed a tear during that speech last night.

hopefully 10 years from now there is a statue of this kid somewhere on campus.

White is leaving, let's see how many ugly ways we can discuss this

And yet your only argument is agreeing with what I said, but trying to cast it in a different way.
And alleging that White has disciplinary issues.
I’m alleging that the coaches who watch the players practice every single day know more about the situation than you do.

I mentioned there are dozens of reasons he might not be seeing the field that make more sense than the coaches don’t know what they are doing or are purposefully sitting a player who would make the defense better.

One of those reasons might just be he doesn’t look good in practice.

Again, we’ve had two completely different coaching staffs running two completely different systems who both came to the conclusion that the team was better without him on the field.

One of those staffs fielded a really bad defense, one of them fielded a really good defense.

And again, for the last time I promise, I trust the coaches to understand and evaluate what is going on more than I do you - even given the fact that White had one very good game in two years.

2019 Presidents Cup results, scores: Tiger Woods leads U.S. to first comeback win in event history

A Ryder Cup broke out at this year's Presidents Cup at Royal Melbourne in Australia where the United States won their eighth consecutive edition of this event, 16-14. That's the highest praise I can give to a team competition that hasn't exactly been rife with thrills and chills in its history.

This year, though, we got it all. All the drama (on and off the course) to go along with elite golf, an unbelievably close competition and a handful of iconic Presidents Cup moments, including the Americans becoming the first team in event history to come from behind and win on the final day of competition.

I guess I could say I saw this coming since my prediction coming into the week was the U.S. winning 16-14, but I didn't see this coming. Not Patrick Reed's caddie getting tossed from the event or Tiger Woods going 3-0-0 as a playing captain or Matt Kuchar (!) sinking the winning putt.

Major come back. Glad to see them rise up and put away a team that they should’ve walked over in the first place.
