RECRUITING FORUM RULES - ***EVERYONE READ BEFORE POSTING***

2) Absolutely No bashing of a recruit...regardless of his choices, we will not partake in the bashing of a 17 year old kid.

Bump. In light of the head coach change, we're not going to bash those players deciding to move on to another school and/or explore other options.

Thank you.

Arrggghh! Dental Insurance? Other Dental Discount Programs?

It's been my experience that the dentists I've paid out of pocket for (and there have been several) always seem to want to do x-rays more than once a year, and refuse to schedule cleanings unless I'm willing to pony up for the dose of radiation, too. It's been incredibly frustrating.

Refuse to schedule cleanings if you don't agree to an x-ray? Wow. I've never encountered that, and if I did my response would probably be considered rude by some.

I turn down x-rays at my dental office every year - they don't tell me to go away.

BTN Ohio State’s return to Rose Bowl highlights nine Big Ten bowl games

Ohio State’s return to Rose Bowl highlights nine Big Ten bowl games

Big Ten champ Ohio State didn't make the College Football Playoff, but the Buckeyes got a pretty nice consolation prize in the 2019 Rose Bowl Game. The Buckeyes, who finished No. 6 in the final CFP rankings and face Pac-12 champ Washington in their first trip to Pasadena since the 2009 season, pace nine Big Ten bowl teams.

2018 Out-of-State Players to Watch

GREAT BLOODLINES

Ohio State running backs coach Tony Alford has made Tennessee his home recently, offering scholarships to four prospects from the Volunteer State in the last two weeks. Another one who's hoping to land an offer from the Buckeyes is Memphis Lausanne Collegiate School four-star running back Eric Gray.

"I grew up watching Ohio State, and my uncle, Maurice Hall, played running back for them,” Gray told Eleven Warriors.

.
If you're wondering what Hall is up to these days, he started acting after a brief stint with the San Diego Chargers. He's been in television shows such as Grey's Anatomy, NCIS and Criminal Minds.

Committed to scUM, and has made no visits. Crazy that an average SEC team is about to flip a team that was very close to winning their conference and almost had a spot in the CFP. Guess Gray wasn't feeling that innovative offense that Hairball was runnning

Gray, the No. 2 overall recruit out of Tennessee in the 247Sports rankings, is a soft verbal to Michigan but actions may speak louder than words. Three visits to Tennessee, one to Ole Miss and zero to Ann Arbor during the season make it one off the more interesting stories of the first signing period.

“He made it pretty clear that, right now, he has no plans to make it back to Michigan and it might be only a matter of time before he officially de-commits from Michigan or flips to another school, whatever the case may be,” said GoVols247 recruiting editor Ryan Callahan on the 247Sports Recruiting Podcast. “It’s definitely something that Michigan has had a tough time because they haven’t been able to get him back on campus to build that relationship.”

2018 Week 12 CFB Open Thread

Still trying to tackle Tommy Frazier, I see.

Nope. Ain't gonna happen. But that was positive in a way. A new DC was hired after that fiasco, and a pretty good year the next year was had (with the help of some guy named Germaine throwing a five yard TD with 19 seconds left), which led to an - ummm -interesting and happy Sugar Bowl for me.

Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye

How about setting up a GoFundMe or the like? I see notices about those for people who need surgery or have losses from disasters, etc.

That's on the table. I've asked Matt to reach out to his coach and compliance department to make sure that if we do set something like that up that it won't cause any problems for him or the school.

I hate that the NCAA is in the way of helping a sick dog.

Help me troll a Wolverine on Amazon?

So they created another one... this time Hairball is in the right place, but who's the other guy?
http://www.amazon.com/Funny-Urban-Ohio-Harbaugh-Michigan/dp/B07H8ZLGN2/ HUH?

Better late than never??

Maybe it's left over from last year. Otherwise, why create it now after tsun finally found a win against Sparty?

Whoever's making these things needs a new business plan almost as badly as tsun needs...well...everything.

2020 IN DL Dane Middlebrook (Verbal Offer)

Dane Middlebrook could be close to a decision
Ohio State offered Brownsburg (Ind.) 2020 defensive tackle Dane Middlebrook, Jr. in July ,but the 6-foot-1, 310-pound defensive tackle has played his recruitment pretty close to the vest since then. He made his first trip to Columbus since June when he camped with the Buckeyes last weekend. And Middlebrook found himself feeling at home with Ohio State.

“Yes sir,” he told Lettermen Row. “It was a good trip. The crowd is what stood out the most, how much they helped the Buckeyes get a victory.”

Currently unranked, Middlebrook is very high on Ohio State. And the Buckeyes are the only program that has currently offered.

“During my visit, I talked to most of the coaches,” he said. “I did feel like it was home. My family and I have a wonderful time.”

There’s some discussion from Middlebrook that a decision could come soon. The question is whether or not there will be more visits to other schools. Those discussions are currently underway. He didn’t want to spend too much time worrying about recruiting during a 10-1 season at Brownsburg.

“I’d been focusing on my season for the most part,” he said. “I haven’t been thinking about recruiting. A decision is coming soon and also [talking about] visiting schools.”
